  As a returning customer I have to say that despite having excellent service and vacations with CBVR in the past, my current experience is certainly leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Not only has there been terrible communication, processing my final payment ($2000) two weeks early than agreed upon, I arrive to find out that there is construction going on next door. Obviously it isn’t CBVR’s fault that this is going on, however it could have been communicated to me prior to my arrival, and accommodations should have been offered, or at least a reduction from the insane holiday rate I’m paying. Greatly disappointed that this isn’t the relaxing week away from my highly stressful job that I was hoping for.

  Hi Shaw, we're so sorry to hear about the construction; projects at the beach start when they can and we don't get notices for properties we don't manage. As you remember, we did correct the billing and make the exception to charge you later in the month for this rescheduled trip.   The folks in Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals are the nicest people to work with. We rented a beach front home (The Lighthouse; see some of our posted pictures here) and it was immaculate upon our arrival. They called us up about 2 hours before the scheduled time for entry to tell us the home was ready and we could occupy early. Wow! That's really unusual. We called about the need for some help in getting the DVD player to work, and they showed up in 10 minutes to show how to operate the system. These are the very best folks in Cannon Beach to get you a rental.

  We just had a week long stay with our family in the Windjammer home in Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals was very good to work with. The home has a beautiful ocean front view of Haystack Rock. It has nice windows for beach and sunset viewing. The home itself is in disrepair. For the price we paid we were disappointed. Our daughter said it was more like glamping.. It is a very old home. We knew this upfront however did not realize so many thing were broken and not working. Refrigerator was not cooling correctly, tiles were broken in the floor, shower was plugged up, light bulbs were not replaced, window upstairs was broken. We finally took the window off. One of the toilets was not cleaned and was disgusting. The company did come and clean it and tried to fix the refrigerator and the shower. This is also is not a good home for handicapped as the stairs would be too hard to navigate. The best thing was the view and location. We would not recommend this home until there are repairs made and kept up better. We would not stay at this house again.

  Excellent customer service. We have rented from many rental agencies up and down the OR. And CA., coast and by far this has been the best place we rented from. We have used them about 6 times now and not one problem. Highly recommend.

  Our house was perfect! It was spotless, spacious and utterly charming. The kitchen was huge and fully equipped. The yard was beautiful, so well kept and full of flowers. We had such a great time we rented it a second time. The people who work at this company are fabulous -- friendly, helpful and a delight to work with. I highly recommend them and will use them exclusively in the future.

  I wish I had a better experience to report with Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals. In February, my fiance and I went into their office in person to inquire about available houses for our upcoming wedding. We wanted to have our ceremony on the beach, and a very intimate backyard dinner afterward. We found a beachfront house that was available for August 2020, and agreed to rent this house for a week per their policy. We signed the contract and put a deposit down on the house. We got a call this last Friday (six months after we made our reservation, now a year out from our planned wedding), saying their company policy states those who have rented a house for a given week this year, have first availability to renting the house during the same time next year- the renters who are currently in the house have agreed to rent again next year, and because of this, they would be cancelling our reservation. We were never informed this was even a remote possibility, and had been planning our ceremony and dinner around the house we had rented. The woman on the phone was the same person I made the reservation with six months ago, and she was new at the time- they also provided us with zero alternative options, and left us out to dry. Instead of working with the renters who are in the space at this time to find alternate dates next year, they simply cancelled our reservation, knowing we were coming for my wedding. I am not upset with the individual who made the reservation as I understand how difficult being in a new employment role can be, but I am horrified at how tactlessly Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals chose to handle this situation. I never once spoke to an owner or manager, but only to the employee who made the reservation in February. We lost six months of planning opportunity- my fiance and I chose Cannon Beach because it was the location we first took a vacation together. At this time, we are completely out of luck for finding an alternate venue for the same date, and will likely have to reschedule my entire wedding (including the likelihood of having to move it outside of Cannon Beach given we're now only a year out and my wedding was planned for peak season) because of Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals' negligence.

  Enjoyed our stay at this rental for the second time. Good communication with agency as well as getting a lovely welcome package. Unfortunately, we left behind a pair of hiking boots. The agency went above and beyond to get the boots and mail them back to us within just a few days. We highly recommend renting through this agency.

  We stayed for two nights at the Sand Castle apartments, and it was just what we wanted. Comfortable, close to the beach, everything we needed for a nice weekend at Cannon Beach. The management was really helpful and friendly. I would be giving them 5 stars just based on all this, but they went above and beyond when they sent my son's favorite stuffed animal, forgotten in the room he stayed in, back to us the very next week. They were really so nice about everything. We definitely will stay with them again.

  We rented from this agency a couple of years ago our memories at Cannon Beach are treasured. We loved the rental it was clean, spacious and loved having a kitchen and laundry in our rental. We will rent from them again!
