I have been going to Camel Pawn for years and have lots of jewelry purchased from there. Ron and his staff are great to deal with and always so helpful.

I had THE BEST experience of my life here! I went to regular jewelry stores and felt so overwhelmed. I got the engagement ring I wanted! Plus our bands. It's perfect for me. Im so greatful for them. 5 stars is not even enough!

I became familiar with Camel Pawn through friends that live in Winston-Salem. It is a 6 hour drive from KY but I make it gladly when I am looking for jewelry. I have purchased about a dozen VERY nice pieces of jewelry, watches etc... Both the Estate Jewelry and the new jewelry are of the HIGHEST quality and customer service is off the chart. Every time I visit Winston-Salem... Camel Pawn is my first stop! SO many interesting high quality pieces. Why anyone would buy jewelry at a retail jewelry store is behind me!! Camel Pawn has much nicer, higher quality at a better price. Do yourself a favor and check out Camel Pawn!

My husband was looking for a ring for our 30th Wedding Anniversary a friend told me to go see Ronnie Cline. So we did and will forever be so thankful for the suggestion. Ronnie not only beat the name brand retail stores but at much better quality for so much less. People may think this is just a pawn store but he is not!!! Ronnie brought out diamonds to choose from then we had the diamond oval halo made. Its GORGEOUS!!! Just in awe of the ring and amazing quality!!!! Thanks Ronnie!!!! 😁💍

My girlfriend wanted a specific cut stone for her engagement ring that we couldn't find anywhere here in Winston-Salem at other jewelers. We were referred by a friend to Camel Pawn, and described exactly what she had pictured to Ron. He found us a variety of diamonds to choose from just a few days later and after she chose one she liked, he even had the ring setting changed on the particular ring she wanted to accommodate the specific cut of the stone. He and his staff made the entire process seamless from search to payment, and based on the other figures we had been quoted he was by far the best value. The engagement went off without a hitch and she hasn't stopped getting complements on the ring yet. Camel Pawn is the only place I'll go for jewelry from now on!

I have purchased four different pieces of jewelry from Camel Pawn over the past six years that ranged from 18 KT yellow gold earrings, precious gem earrings, and a long heavy sterling necklace that was my recent acquisition. All of the items have provided me great pleasure when wearing and their prices were as competitive or better than my searching the internet.

Ron IS the man!!! He had a one of a kind engagement ring hand crafted beyond my expectations!!! Working though many obstacles to find a special diamond, he delivered the most beautiful ring under my budget, saving me thousands!!! Ron can work miracles and meet expectations with any budget. Thank you Ron for your diligence and down to earth personality. She said YES......

My wife and I were looking for her a replacement diamond ring. We had been to many other places and sent there by another pawn shop as she wears a larger size ring. To get there we had to circle the block They have a nice selection..but the first guy asked her budget..which was $500..for a 1 carat ring she had about 6 years ago. Besides size she knew what she wanted. An older guy said, "you wont find that here or anywhere from here to china". OK. We looked and they wanted full retail at the pawn shop. We had gotten a 1 carat ring size 9... for $1000 from a reputable dealer 7 years ago. Both of the salesman became arrogant and smug. In their defense we are dressed in street clothes..not dirty or unpressed..just regular clothes. Plus due a partial disability..I limp right now. We told them we had money for the ring and tax. We told them we had been reffered to to them. The taller older man in a white dress shirt and tie was more arrogant the other guy...however both were rude and insulting. The salesman in a red polo or red shirt came back from "the safe" with a cheap looking cloudy ring..and offered it to us for $400. We said no thank you. He said good luck as we were leaving. Well thank you kind sir. As of 8pm tonight..she found a BRAND NEW 1/2 carat ring like she wanted online for $400. New not pawned or used...with the diamond grading is awesome with a warranty. Moral...dress better and pay retail if you want to go here. These 2 guys must have forgotten that it is a pawn shop..not a Debeers retailer. You two have good luck too..as there is this service called the internet... remember that customer service is paramount. We have a new ring and you dont have our money. Thank you. Read a book from a much bigger company than. yourselves. Try Zappos book on customer service..it will do you well.

      Response from the owner

I do appreciate the both of you coming in to shop with us. We are sorry you felt we were arrogant and rude It is hard to entertain a customers expectation that we know we cannot provide. We have successfully based our business model on customer service to ALL patrons for the past 87 years. We hope that you will try us again.

Went to see what they had and what their prices were like on precious stones. As with anything it is buyer beware. Saw a ring marked DQ CZ and 14k, which is a Diamonique Cubic Zirconia from QVC. It is not, and never will be, a diamond. I tried to tell the salesman this, but I don't blame him personally for not knowing. I still lost interest at that point because the salesman was looking at these "diamonds" with a pocket loupe, not even a real jewelers loupe. So they don't check the stones, no gem tester? Is the metal tested at least? I have been buying and selling jewelry online for over 20 years, where you simply cannot get by without knowing what you are selling and being 100% honest with your customers, and my reputation reflects that. I didn't feel good about making a purchase in this store. For there to be so much jewelry, the bulk of the store's inventory, I would expect much greater expertise in evaluation of it. Of course, this also means there are most likely some real bargains to be had if you have the tools and time to examine everything closely. Then when we moved away from the precious metals counter to the silver, the "bouncer" was just standing there with the broom and dustpan a foot from me, like he wanted us out of the store. I doubt I go back.

      Response from the owner

Rebekkah, First and foremost, I would like to first thank you for coming into the shop, and apologize for the experience that you had. We would never intentionally try to misguide any customer. We have built a reputation of honesty and transparency over the past 89 years. That being said, I looked into this, and found that the ring was incorrectly marked. We have thousands of rings in the store and I am sorry we made a mistake we most likely would have caught before the ring was sold. Perhaps you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future. Respectfully, Ron Clein
