  My post specifically reflects my experience at the branch across from the plant and across from Hardee's. I'm sure the folks at other branches are fine and friendly folks, trying to do a good job for their company. The branch I visited needs to reconsider which of their employees is interacting with the public.

  I am a fairly new member of Bowater Credit Union and I absolutely LOVE it so far! I always feel at home when I walk into the Athens branch. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. It is super easy to sign up for a checking and savings account and they have the best people to work with.

  I visited the Calhoun, TN location. The bank refused a currency exchange before seeing my money. I had a U.S. $20 bill that I would like to have exchanged for four $5 bills. Hardee’s restaurant across the street made the currency exchange without a problem.

  Hello Deanna! I'm sorry for any miscommunication - like all credit unions, we are a member-owned financial cooperative and we cannot do business for non-members (our member-owners are our account holders). I'm glad Hardee's was nearby and able to help you out!

  Bowater Credit Union is the best bank I have ever dealt with. I have been a member for 4 and a half years and they are always nice and helpful.

  I like banking here. The only thing I hate is the amount of time it takes to pay online bills. They are supposed to be improving this so we will see.
