  We had such a wonderful experience working with Dave and Katie. We have gone through two loan processes with them, a refinance on one home, and a purchase of a new home. Both went very smooth and we would choose them again with no doubt next time! Both times they were able to give us the most competitive interest rate compared to other lenders.

  We just purchased our new home with Bluefish as our lender. Dave and Katie were friendly, quick, thorough, and very responsive to our needs. They walked us through the financial part of home buying each step of the way with knowledge and respect. They were able to get us a great rate and we closed a week earlier than we thought was possible. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a home loan!

  Going through the refinance process with Dave was incredible! The customer service provided was beyond excellent. I have never had such a smooth, well-guided experience in a "large money" decision process as I did with Dave. He was always readily available, helped us make the best decision based on our financial situation, and made sure we understood the entire process. I highly recommend using Dave and Bluefish Home Loans!

  Dave was great to work with. I had a lot of questions with refinance and he helped me all the way. He was very fast at getting the work done. We were able to close in a month. Where I have had friends that it took months before they could close. He even has something call homebot which will tell you different ways you can save money or use the equity in your home. Dave is definitely one person you will want to use.

  Katie is bad at her job. She ensured we would be able to make something work based on the info we gave her. It is her job to understand the rules. She should have known a gap in employment (even during the pandemic) would exclude us. She insisted on running a hard inquiry that will now lower our credit score making our chances of getting a home loan very slim. We wanted to wait because we didn't think we were ready. she insisted we should go ahead. Now we are a couple months away from being homeless. Don't work with this company. Especially not Katie. I am also cutting ties with the real estate agent who referred us to her. Hope it was worth it Katie. Response to reply: I am not upset about not being approved. I'm angry because the applications should have never been submitted. I'm not the FHA expert. That was your job. I felt we needed to wait but was pushed forward in the process, even though details of our work experience were disclosed in detail. We will never work with or recommend your company in the future. If rocket mortgage, is able to pick up the pieces (and get us qualified) you'll be getting more critical feedback from my partner. Regardless, your recklessness has probably already cost us dearly.

  Hi Richard, thank you for taking the time to post this review. Although I never like to hear somebody isn't happy, I always appreciate it being brought to my attention so that we can improve. While it wouldn't be appropriate to publicly discuss personal details, we take pre-approvals very seriously and will not issue one unless we are 100% sure we can close the loan. We recommend submitting files for a full underwritten pre-approval for that very reason, to make sure that if a buyer has a pre-approval from us that they can be confident that their loan will close. Most clients appreciate this, as they can shop for a home and give notice to their landlord knowing that an underwriter has seen the details already. As disappointing as it can be to not be pre-approved, we always prefer to give bad news sooner rather than later, especially when 'later' could mean a few weeks before closing - once a home is under contract, earnest money has been deposited, and notice has been given at a rental.   I really just can't say enough good about Dave and his team. They went above and beyond for my family in so many ways. They were extra responsive (even on weekends and holidays), very mindful of our individual circumstances, and just all-around delightful to work with. We are overjoyed with literally every aspect of our home-buying experience despite the currently crazy market (I've never met any homeowner other than myself who could actually say that)! We were able to purchase the first house we made an offer on, and in record time, all because of Dave and his team. We are so grateful!

  Working with Dave and his team was maybe the best decision we made when buying a new house. They were so knowledgeable and responsive at any time of day, helped us understand what was required and expected every step of the process, and I couldn't believe how fast the whole process was. Like, I didn't know it was possible to go from accepted offer to close as quickly as we did.
