Best pawn shop in town. I have purchased all kinds of stuff from them from fishing poles and tackle to power tools. I have also pawned all kinds of things there. It's a great business with great employees. They have all kinds of stuff there check them out.

I'm in here at least monthly--honestly you can't go wrong here. I've attempted sales and made sales, and speaking from how I see things, the business is very pleasant, so are the staff. Really, any negative reviews must be people who think a pawnbroker is a junk buyer. They're not like your other stores. Imagine if you owned a bunch of assorted things--you need to make a profit somehow and really the offer they give you is about as fair as it gets. They have rules and regulations. I've been done good by them in all my sales or buys from them. They'll work out a deal for you easy, maybe even knock a chunk of change off. The markup isn't too high, nor is their buying prices. Get a basic 7th grade economics book then put yourself in their shoes. I really like this place and all their employees. They aren't rude, if they are you were asking for it because they've been deeply sorry they couldn't offer more. If you think they are doing you wrong--go and sell it yourself. But you don't have that time and need a middle-man right? Well. That's why pawnbrokers exist. I wouldn't take any review less than 4 stars serious at all. Like I said; study basic economics and you'll realize it's a fairly generous store. I'd give them 10/10 in every aspect. The best thing about mountain home is this one pawnbroker. Seriously, I feel like they paid me more than what I was expecting for the guns I sold. Like, unbelievable in terms of fairness. Nobody can sell 80 rusted up crossbows and weed-eaters they can't turn a profit on. That's throwing away money. One Love, Big Steve. Lol, shouts out to The Man from Manchester. Really really love your services, and I just want you to know you're greatly appreciated.

Organized, clean, and professional pawn shop with reasonable prices and offers. The employees are wonderful and respectful. My favorite is they have a texting number for the deaf and hard of hearing to be able to communicate effortlessly over the phone. 5 stars.

This is not your average pawn shop. The staff here keep the store immaculate and truly try to serve every customer respectfully, even the ones that don't deserve it. Fair prices Fair loans Everytime I shop here the staff smiles and helps in any way they can. Excellent local business.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I was completely ignored and when I asked a question the clerk began talking to a female customer instead. Not a good way to run a business. Very small store and a poor selection. They have lost a customer.

Without a doubt the best full service pawn and gun shop in Mountain Home. The staff are friendly, and their stock is always fresh and interesting, from gold and silver coins and jewelry to electronics, movies, video games and consoles, to rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and pistols. They've even got a full-time gunsmith on the premises that does good work and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. They also do FFL transfers for an extremely reasonable $10 charge - if you're an online gun buyer like myself, there's no better place to use as your FFL dealer in Mountain Home - and they're open on the weekends! Also, if you want a specific firearm and they don't have it in stock, they can order it for you, anything you want. I make a habit of popping in at least a couple of times a month just to see what new things they've got in their inventory. I highly recommend this place for bargains of all kinds on whatever you can think of, and if you have something you don't need and want to make a few bucks getting rid of that unwanted good stuff, bring it down to Big Steve's and they'll offer you a fair price!

They claim to cash checks but when you take a cashier's check into them they won't cash it, if you claim to cash checks then cash checks, misleading just to get people into the store

I been coming buy to Big Steve's Pawn Shop for 3 Years. I like that place. But I came buy to Big Steve's Pawn Shop in March of 2016 and begin collecting Mill Creek DVDs that year. Yes Big Steve's Gold and Pawn is Big Steve's Pawn Shop. But it's been 3 Years. Before Big Steve's Gold & Pawn Shop. There was The Daily News in the 80s or 90s. The one i been looking at that building all the time in my Parents' Vehicle especially in School Bus. I never went there for ages. Then after that there was Home Improvement Outlet years before. Then it's already gone out of business and changed it to Big Steve's Gold & Pawn Shop. And yes before i came to Big Steve's Gold & Pawn. I came to my former Pawn Shop as Center City Pawn. I once went there as a little kid. And then Years later in 97 i went there again as a kid. But unfortunately on April 11th, 2008. I was having a bad day because of my final day at age of 22. 8 Years before i came to Big Steve's Pawn Shop. And 5 Years after i left Center City Pawn. That owner did retired. Going out of business. And later passed away. 3 Years later. I did came buy there in March of that year. Until 2019. My final Day was July 23rd. And that's why i left once again because of moving out of that house and into apartment for the first time. So i give it 5 Stars for Big Steve's Pawn Shop. Good bye Big Steve's Gold & Pawn Shop.
