  We had our first rv camping experience at Big Creek!! And it was perfect. Nice level lots near all the outdoor activities. The creek is beautiful. The host, Patty, is so kind and thoughtful. I give it 5 stars.

  We looked for a place that had full hookups so that we could de-winterize our RV. We didn’t have any grand expectations but this little RV park was amazing... We filled up our propane tanks and bought fire wood both at amazingly reasonable prices. We showed up after the office had closed but Patty the owner met us and got us checked in. Wonderful customer service... First hick up was the next morning when the water spigot wasn’t working .. We called her and she told us what to do.. The temp had dropped below freezing over night and it had frozen. Within with 10 min she was at our site to make sure it worked.. Which it did.. Thanks for the amazing inaugural weekend.

  We just stayed at this campground for 4 days and the owners definitely know what they are doing! This is one of the cleanest and most organized small campground we have visited. The attention to detail from the spotless restrooms, printed out travel directions to all the local sites, pool and patio and the clean and well maintained sites. We will be back! Thanks for such an enjoyable long weekend!

  Pros -Full hookups with cable tv -Level pads -Clean facilities -New playground equipment -Nice store and ownership -Central location for several adventures Cons - Slow WiFi, can’t stream but it can be nice to unplug for a bit -Spots can be a little narrow but not a deal breaker -Had to use extensions to reach hook up boxes so plan ahead

Wi-fi is great, but we do apologize for our Internet--our plan for the park includes all that is available in our area at this time. Code dictated that, when we built the park, the sewer hookup had to be 10' from the water hookup--located in the center of the site. In most cases, a 15' sewer hose will do the trick.   Our first time, but won't be our last. 30/50 amp full hookup level sites. Ammenities are wonderful, park is clean and well maintained. Friendly folks all around; worth the price. Definitely recommend to all!!!!

  This park is clean, well maintained and run by a friendly couple. The sites were mostly level and large enough for larger RVs. They are continuing to improve the campground by adding a new playground and fishing pond. We loved the creek and enjoyed walking and searching for tadpoles and crayfish. If you have tubes, bring them because there are some areas great for floating. The pool is small but clean and my kids enjoyed swimming and doing cannonballs. Don’t be scared away by it being right off the road or near railroad tracks. We only heard 1 train and you don’t hear the cars off the road. Great home base for traveling to Missouri State Parks.

  It was our very 1st campout in an RV (20 ft camper) and it could not have gone any better. Campsite is clean, modern, complete hookups (including 50 amp and cable tv), and the prices are reasonable for what you get. The swimming pool and shower house are very well kept up. Prices for ice, firewood, and propane are surprisingly reasonable. Wifi doesn't allow streaming video, so unless you have T-Mobile service or your own satellite internet, forget about online videos. And if you have Verizon, you're completely SOL on cell coverage. I don't know about AT&T. My only gripe is the location of the park is right next to the highway, so you do get traffic noise, but you can camp by the river to eliminate that for the most part. A great place, especially for a beginner or someone who wants all the comforts of home. Thanks Patty for a great weekend and well done!

  Stayed here 4 nights. Found the hosts to be wonderful. The facility is great and the size of the spots were also great. This was my 1st stay at this park and I will definitely return. The area was fun to explore with state parks close by and a couple of small towns to check out. The sites at the campground were large and level. It is small gravel that is well packed. The creek is wonderful and nice and cool on a hot day. The granddaughter and dog had a blast just playing in the creek.

  Spent the weekend here and enjoyed it immensely! Very well maintained sites, full hookups. Sites are gravel and slightly uneven but workable. Patty is amazing!! Close to all our favorite hiking trials, quiet and sites close enough to be social if you want, but big enough that you don't feel crowded in. Is it more than a state park or other campground? Yes. However, the quality of the facility and the caliber of people is higher. Definitely worth the extra money. We will definitely be back!!

  Big Creek is a fantastic private RV Park! The owner, Patty, is amazing! She has something planned almost every weekend. Every Saturday at 6:00pm are the rubber duck races down the creek. We were there for a chili cook off, BBQ competition, Bingo, ice cream social, digital scavenger hunt, and Christmas in July. The park has full hookup sites (50 amp electric, water, sewer) plus WiFi and cable. There is a game room, laundry facilities, pool, and private bathrooms. Everything is well maintained and clean. You can also purchase firewood, ice, and get propane refilled right on site. We stayed here for 7 weeks and never ran out of things to see and do at the park or in the area. Everyone we met was super nice, and I have to tell you it was one of the quietest parks we have been in - even on the weekends.
