Bellco Credit Union Reviews

Craig Lambeseder1I recently received a threatening letter from Bellco claiming I need to provide something for an auto loan refinance that closed 3 months ago. All payments have been made and no one ever told me anything else was needed during my application or closing. Also, I'm refinancing a Bellco loan so the lien transfer should be all internal. When I tried to call to figure out what was needed I was met by rude employees who repeatedly put me on hold and transferred me for about 40 min. Finally, I spoke with a lady named Raven who told me there was nothing she could do for me but she would e-mail someone on my behalf. I asked for the contact information to submit a complaint which Raven said she would also send but she never actually did anything she said she would. There is no information available online and the letter does not detail what is needed but gives a very limited time-frame to provide it. This is one of the worst customer service experiences of my life.
Response from the ownerThank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience, Craig. We are sorry to hear this! We'd like to research this further for you. When you have a moment please send an email to [email protected] with your preferred phone number.

Rick J5We got a car loan at this branch. The process was fast and very easy. They were great. The only thing I wish Bellco would do is NOT have their VISA with a third party. Third party service is terrible. They provide excellent service when it comes to security of debit cards too. Overall Bellco does a great job.
Response from the ownerThank you so much for your kind words, Rick. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Cheers, Bellco Credit Union

Rj F1Tried to refinance two of my vehicles. They took a hour to collect all the info. She said you will get a rate that was extremely competitive. We also will only pull one credit report since we are refinancing the two vehicles at the same time. Unfortunately when the lady calls me back she was almost double the rate. When I asked her why she said it just changes. I then asked if I will be contacted about my second vehicle and she stopped responding. After follow ups no one ever contacted me back. As a formal customer I will not be back. ENT provided a rate better than Bellco excellent rate. Don’t waste your time they are terrible to deal with.

Ryan McMeekin1Horrible customer service, terrible phone prompts. Do yourself a favor and do not bank with this company. Very cold and extremely rude to customers. If you plan to reach them via phone, plan to be hung up on, over a total of 1 hr. Wait time, and extremely rude customer service when they do get around to answering the phone. Rude and cold staff, no communication when it comes to loans and horrific about miscommunication on loan status. Never ever do business with this bank. Nothing you are trying to buy is worth dealing with this "company" Online banking gets messed up all of the time, they make it ridiculously difficult to accept money. You will call and they will tell you to do it online. My account was locked out and they would not help, you payments will become late because of their unwillingness to accept payements to non members.
Response from the ownerThank you for taking the opportunity to write a review, Ryan. We are sorry to hear about any troubles! We value member feedback and welcome a conversation with you to understand more about where you feel we can improve. If you'd like to share, please email [email protected] with your feedback and please also include a contact phone number so that we may reach out to with assistance. Thank you!

Jeffrey Gilmartin1I’ve been trying to sell my car to a gentlemen using Bellco Bank. The absolute worst experience for an Auto Loan I’ve ever had. We sent documents almost 2 days in advance to expedite the process, we waited till 3pm the next day for them to tell us we needed a new payoff statement. They proceeded to tell us he had to register the vehicle prior(how? That’s no even possible). All in all an absolutely terrible establishment with poor customer service. If you need a quality bank, look no further than Navy Federal or Wells Fargo.

Hako Kochkonyan1I’m the GM at a used car dealership. We sold a truck over a month ago, the customer used Bellco Credit Union to finance the truck. It’s been over a month and this branch has not send me the check for the truck. Truck is worth over $30,000... so Bellco is getting paid by their member and the customer is driving my truck, but I do not have my money for the truck. I tried calling, and now my check is lost. Very frustrated, very unprofessional.
Response from the ownerThank you for letting us know about this, Hako. We would like to take this opportunity to research this situation. When you have a moment, please send an email to [email protected] with your contact information and the VIN for the vehicle. -SD

Still absolutely no effort on this "organizations" behalf to improve any aspect of their little business that they run. Starting to wonder if the employees even receive training...

azlapd741Decided to take my vehicle loan elsewhere. I have tried on multiple occasions to contact the CU but am always on hold for a min of 30 min. Ive tried using the call me back option, but no one ever does. My online banking profile keeps getting messed up so I cant access anything on there, and it's been set up twice. Member owned, but corporate run. Guess you dont need my buisness.
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with us. Please know this feedback has been shared with our management team, but, if you are still in need of assistance, please email [email protected] with your preferred contact phone number. Thank you!

Chris Deulen1I've been into this branch several times requesting to do business with them in regards to getting a loan for my work vehicle. The people I've spoken with have advised me to pay off specific debts, and that then Bellco would be willing to do business with me. I worked hard, paid them off, and returned multiple times only to be denied and/or given the run around ("Sure, we'll have Armando call you back today," with never any phone call). I offered to put ten percent down even, and have never missed a payment on my van, which is still in my old partner's name. I offered to supply bank records even proving my payments. I can only assume they don't care about small local business. Avoid this place.
Response from the ownerHi, Chris. I apologize for the confusion here. We've checked with the branch team and it seems there's been some confusion on the time it would take for your payments to affect your credit score. We will work with our branch team to ensure communication commitments are kept. We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced!

BARB FAUT2I have been a Bellco member since 1986. Bellco, as a whole, is a pretty good organization to belong to. However, this new location has some issues which their ATM after hours. Today at 4:00 pm I couldn’t even access the ATM. The door would not read my card to gain access. It appeared the ATM was working, which is a surprise in itself. To avoid future frustration I will not visit this location unless it is during business hours. It is always a wasted trip due to the ATM not working and now no access into it.
