Bellco Credit Union Reviews

Casey Colvin1Send me a flyer for high interest savings account. I log in and try to open it, says to visit branch. Walk into branch, teller says we have not bankers available, but you can come back with an appointment. Really? I can do this online in 5 minutes everywhere else. You could give 20% and other banks will still blow you away with efficiency.

Kassi Henson4Went into open up an account with Bellco since my boyfriend has been using them for years and spoke so highly of them. Met with Greg to set up my account and refinance my car. He was awesome, very nice and explained everything and answered any questions when I was confused. Went back in to finish signing my paperwork for the refinance and the lady Crystal was impersonal and did not explain anything just went through the paperwork as fast as possible and when I asked questions she did not help clear up my confusion. 5 star for Greg, 1 star for Crystal.

We take member feedback seriously and while we are glad your first experience went well, we are sorry to hear of any issues with your follow up visit. Danelle R1I used to LOVE bellco, and this branch. My review does not reflect the staff, but the hardware. I’ve gone here multiple times after hours to make a deposit thru the ATM and half the time they are never accepting cash. I bartend for a living, and my hours are crazy. The amount of times I’ve over drafted because I wasn’t even able to put money in my account is insane. And when you call them to explain, they say you’re past the forgiveness limit. I’ve been a member for 13 years and will no longer recommend people to sign up for bellco anymore. They should drop the claim of credit union, this place feels just as bad as a bank. I’m switching to canvas credit union.

Ellie5I will be honest, if it were not for the help of loan agent Buddy Pearl today i would be giving a 1 star review right now, and that would be due to the absolutely terrible service that we experienced from Crystal Dyck. I have been in the process of getting an auto loan for the last month and it had been a perpetual uphill battle with Crystal- the loan agent we were initially working with. every turn was a new issue that was accompanied with horrendous customer service. SHE WAS UNABLE TO EVEN SPELL MY NAME CORRECTLY on my loan paperwork. Long story short, I was supposed to go in today for the signing, only to receive as incredibly curt email saying that suddenly i was denied the loan. THANKFULLY i did not see the email and i went in anyways. THANK GOODNESS I was assisted by Buddy instead this time, and he was able to see that this was just an error, and that my loan should have indeed been approved. I will leave it at the philosophy that, all is well that ends well. But had it have not been for Buddy showing not only concern, but also knowledge, I would be in a major dilemma that didnt have to be in.
Response from the ownerHello Ellie. Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that Buddy was able to assist you and find a resolution. We have documented your review and will send it to management for further review. We value your membership! Best, -Shelby

Steven Becker1Honestly the worst bank i have ever used! I attempted to use the drive thru ATM, and instead of dispensing the money as it appeared it should have done, it spit out a ticket which said "card retained" with no explanation. When i arrived at the bank the next morning to retrieve my card, i was told by the employee, "oh yeah it just does that" and "your card is shredded." I am leaving for the airport in 20minutes and have no way of getting a new card before i leave. Terrible machines and terrible customer service, avoid this bank at all cost.

Jason Aguilar1Horrible service and a horrible system, you can feel the toxicity when you walk in to one of the branch. We tried to open an account, and even after calling, walking in and several emails we could not get any information on our accounts AND the account numbers kept changing for some unknown ungodly reason so that all of direct deposits disappeared in to thin air. And to top it all off they said they had to keep the 25 dollars we used to open the account we never had access too!!! When we finally had a enough confusion we decided to open an account with BBVA instead......it took us less hassle to get set up with them then it did to just CLOSE our account with Bellco. Go to another bank, these people are toxic, just go somewhere else. Keep that 25 dollars Bellco, we can just sum it up to A**hole Tax. I hope you read this review and recognize who I was, I bet you thought I was too stupid to use the internet.
Response from the ownerThank you for letting us know about your experience, Jason. We are truly sorry to hear it. If you have any further questions or feedback, please send an email to [email protected] with your contact information so we can follow up.

Heath Posey1I went into this branch to inquire about opening 2 business accounts and a personal account. I quickly realized that this was not the bank for me or my businesses. I have opened many account over the years and never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully. I felt like I being integrated and I would be lucky if they were to let me be a member of their bank. The banker didn't even know how to answer half of the questions I asked. Definitely should have read the reviews before wasting my time.

We hold ourselves to high standards and are truly sorry to hear this standard was not met in your interaction with us. We'd like to invite you to send an email to [email protected] with your preferred phone number and we can have someone reach out to discuss your experience. Thank you!

Linda J1Fair warning! Take your business elsewhere. The customer service at this credit Union is a farce. I tried to make a deposit today (I'm w/a sister Credit Union). I was told that they don't accept deposits from other CU's in their teller line, and I would have to use the ATM. When I told the the teller that their ATM had an out of order sign on it, she just giggled and said "oops. Sorry. Have a good day." Not even an offer to take the deposit, to direct me to another location, nothing. I moved my funds from Bellco about 10 years ago because they were constantly making errors on our accounts. They fixed them, but not without A LOT of hassle, and in some cases fees. I see they haven't improved in 10 years. What a shame.
Response from the ownerAs a member-owned cooperative, our goal is to provide exceptional service to our members and neighbors. Your feedback has been shared with the district manager of this location. Kind Regards, Shelby, Bellco Credit Union

Nico1If you want an institution that cares about you as a customer, understands that you value your hard earned money. DON'T BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE. I have had 2 fraudulent charges that I did not get back. They are not in the business of customer service, loyalty or any nonsense they feed us. Serious issue here as there is a much bigger problem then not reimbursing people back.
Response from the ownerThank you for taking the opportunity to write a review, Nico. We are sorry to hear of any troubles and would be happy to have someone research this for you. When you have a moment, please send an email to [email protected] with your preferred phone number. Thank you, Shelby
