      Opened a savings account and deposited $50,000.00. No need for any contact, as the $ was sitting there. One day I applied for a credit line secured with a mortgage on our house. Our house is appraised at well over $1,000,000.00 and we dont owe anything on it. No calls back just a nasty letter from their office declining the loan. Stated that was based upon my credit report. My credit rating is 757, I think that qualifies as "very good". No explanation, no returned calls. Then I tried to close my savings account and move it. No assistance, no returned calls. Once they dump you, you become dead to these folks.

      I've been a member of BECU for over 20 years and I receive really good customer service often but on a particular day that I came into the Burlington location, I received amazing customer service from Angela Fackler. She went above and beyond with her patience with me and all of my questions as I was growing to understand details in a particular topic. I hope for the world to grow in more people like Angela and BECU is very lucky to have her.

      I was on hold for 56 minutes this morning. It's consistently like this. Why should I continue service with you when my local bank picks up calls immediately and solves problems on a dime?

      Very upset how this branch doesn't have Spanish speaking people working there. I had to go in and translate for my parents. Skagit has a large population of Latinos. How do you all comunicate and build trust with these members? Very disappointed! Hire folks who speak other languages other than English!

      I waited over 30 minutes to open a business account at the Burlington branch so I could apply for a business car loan. I never did get any help; I left after waiting 40 minutes. There were many employees inside who didn’t appear to be hustling to serve customers. At one point I joked when an employee came out and called a customer’s name that I would take her spot cause I’d been waiting over a half an hour. She snapped back at me. I decided that after that experience customer service was poor and a business who needs to do any type of transaction would have a difficult time doing so-no drive thru and long wait times. Business owners beware. So I decided to stay at Banner Bank where the customer service is king.

      I was blown away by the supreme level of service here. It was super busy when I came in but they did an excellent job of getting people through. I was unsure about a few things, but Mitch clarified everything for me. He did a great job at showing me my options for building credit. I find the 24 hour ATMs to be convenient and I don't mind them not having tellers. Overall I dug the vibes of this place and I'll be happy to come back should I ever need anything else.

      I'm a non member and had a horrible experience with this bank when selling my vehicle to a buyer who utilized BECU for financing. The Member Consultant (I will not list his name because this may be due to poor training) took over two hours to process the loan/paperwork and the buyer had already completed all the pre-work prior to this date with another branch in their area. I'm not sure if the representative was unqualified or under trained for processing loans, but we're now over a month out from the initial bill of sale date and the buyer is still having issues with getting the car titled with the state. Since our initial encounter with the representative at BECU I have been asked by the buyer to send my copy of the bill of sale because the bank couldn't find their copy (which my copy was created by the representative), I have also been asked to fill out an odometer disclosure and send it in because the representative failed to have us complete one, and I now am being asked to fill out an Affidavit of Loss/Release of Interest again (even though we filled out one at the date of sale). It's scary to think that this credit union handles their paperwork so poorly and that all these documents were either lost, incorrectly filed or not requested at the original date of sale and loan signing. I certainly wouldn't trust them with my money.

      Not a fan of self service banking so I do not bank at this location, however, BECU does have our RV loan. Being extremely credit friendly we did not qualify for a loan walking into this location. Yet BECU gave us the loan when we applied thru the dealership, which makes zero sense. Soon after, the payment book came in the mail. I made 2 payments before I receive a letter saying it has come to their attention they mailed the wrong payment book. "A new book will come and previous payments have been applied to your account." Not, so! Once I received a statement from them, I found I had a savings account with a couple thousand dollars in it, and no way to access that money.....my RV payments!! After waiting over 30 minutes for help at the banking location and another 30 straightening out their mess, we were back on track although I am sure I wasn't credited properly for the interest accumulated during their mistake. (I do realize the problem(s) associated with this loan is not this branches fault per say, but they are part of the chain and the place I am expected to bank, when needed) My complaint now is their statement format. They do not break down the difference between what is applied to principal vs interest.This is a problem if you make a payment larger than what is due and you would like to see the breakdown of that payment. Instead the statement shows your full payment amount and what you paid for interest that period. There is no acknowledgment of the extra principal. Again, not a fan of self service banking. I appreciate full customer service.
