      The tellers are great, that's where your positive experience ends. Poorly trained internal staff with absolutely zero focus on customer service. Pretty much act like they are doing you a favor and you've inconvenienced them. Stick with your local community banks folks.

      There are so many better credit unions. I was a victim of fraud, let me reiterate VICTIM. Every account i had there was closed because I fell victim to a scam. The fraud department caught it before any damage was actually done and I never used a single penny of the money. I tried to explain this situation with physical evidence of my innocence and it was for nothing. I recieved late fees from so many buisness's that i used BCU for automatic bill pay. I lost 2 months worth of pay from checks being lost in the mail because my direct deposit went there as well. I really dont like this place. No matter how much they advertise like they have their members best interest they are just another big bank in it for the money to line their pockets with your money and rob you of your peace of mind. Just remeber whenever you walk into a bank that seems overtly friendly you are witnessing wolves in sheep clothes.

      Been banking with BCU for almost 20 years and have been generally happy. Have there been some bad individual experiences? Yes. Has it been perfect? No. That's just life as a consumer. The positives have outweighed the negatives. by far. The interest rates and the experience exceed any bank I've ever dealt with.

      Not a good experience with this credit union. I was working on an auto loan and the man who helped me completely screwed me on it. He added almost $2000 worth of add ons to things I never said I wanted or needed. He told me it was all included in my loan and then hit me with a bill of over $2000 extra that I never said I wanted. Will take my business elsewhere and will not be working with this credit union.

      One of the worst of its kind, Some times it feels like all the idiots got under one roof and one can find them all here. The call center supervisors Dana, Saul & Amber are the most irresponsible, arrogant, disrespectful customer facing people I have ever interacted with. If you'd have to reach out to their customer support a few basic need will also take forever for them to fix. They never accept their own mistakes and would be ready to blame everything on you. They need a lot to improve just to even stand in this competitive market. and facts like the disputes of charges may take up to several years to get you some resolution on them since they don't even bother to take care of for you and they don't have any department It's all third party services. I reported my concerns several times but nothing to surprise that feedback and other complaint doesn't bother them at all. I finally got tiered after banking more than a year and decided to move ahead in life and leave them on their own. They claim they have 1000's of Atm's somewhere in the world but it would be never close to you where you need. and if you luckily find one either that will accept a withdrawal or deposit only or even they charge you for that who knows. The banking transactions shows twice and you may end up paying the credit card charges twice on the transaction if you're not carefully monitoring your wallet. If you want piece of mind and a bank which can hold your back stay away from this bank and find better option and in one word this is not the bank you can count on for your needs. They never have answers for your questions and their followup and call backs never even comes to your way. I would have rated in negative starts if there would have any option to do so.

      They used to be so great but now they canceled their affiliation with other credit unions and you have to drive to Vernon hills for everything. So i drove there today to deposit cash and the atm isn't working! Now I'm screwed! That is so inconvenient i am switching banks.

      Amazing service and rates if you can ever get a call back. I've literally had to get a loan through dealerships and then refinance on two separate occasions because of a lack of response. I recently inquired about a loan to take advantage of end of quarter sales... Crickets. It's a shame that they work so hard to take care of customers just to fall flat on their face with follow up.

      Best Credit Union I've EVER had! I've been with BCU since I was 16, I've also been with 4 banks and 2 other credit unions. BCU's online banking is way better than any bank/CU site I've used. You can move money around instantly and transfer money to other banks within days for free. Since I was young and stupid, I went elsewhere for my first credit cards and auto loans. My bank credit card rates were 21% and 18% My bank auto loan rate was 20%!! when I switched my loans and cards to BCU My credit card rate was 10.9% My auto loan rate was 5.5%!! My credit didn't change much if at all, BCU is just not as interested in making such large profits from me as the big bank chains. But my favorite part is being able to go to a credit union where the tellers know you by name and are always extremely helpful. Devin Patel helped me with my auto loan, anyone else would have been sick of me (Since I worry more than I should about these things, I tend to be very persistent with calling and and asking questions). Devin was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly, he ran a Carfax for any vehicle I emailed him about and always got back to me as soon as he could.

      I have been a member with BCU for 10 years. Just about everything I’ve financed has been through BCU. I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff. I would highly recommend BCU to anyone looking for an amazing credit union.
