      I am the CFO for a minor non-profit that supports youth education in the DMV area. After a number of issues with a competitor, we opted to switch our account across the street. First - the manager is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She had that account opened and going in an hour. Compared to a 3-hour debacle I had across the street for another non-profit at their competitor. A week later she found a better program for us and unilaterally asked if we wanted to recategorise the account. She hooked us up with a better interest level on our investment account. I never see a line and the cashiers are always friendly. And they always ignore the fact that I only seem to visit in a dirty t-shirt. LOL My only issues are with the corporate database. The system doesn't interact with desktop banking software very well. But that's minor and it's not a branch issue. The branch is great. This bank is friendly to scout units, sports teams and other community groups.

      If I could give 0 Stars I would. Not Shocked after seeing other reviews. After having 14 different accounts - Business, Personal, Mortgage, HELOC, Credit Cards etc...This is hands down the worst Branch of the worst bank in the history of Banking. We even donated to their "In Branch Party" by sending food and didn't even get so much as a Thank You! Their Customer Service is Hideous and that is not surprising since the Branch Manager Susan is the ringleader. Lucy is just as bad if not worse (if that is at all possible) The tellers are OK but that is as close to a compliment as I am willing to give. Getting Bad information from the Branch Manager is never a good sign in bank that holds your money. She has lied and been caught on several occasions. Again not good. Lucy said she would get us the help we needed, that never happened, in fact she made things worse! And Who let's their Mother behind the counter and desks to look at peoples Personal & Business Banking (knowing she is not an employee) Susan did...She should be terminated immediately just for allowing that Non Caring Attitude to emerge in front of her subordinates. Corporate Brass needs to really start looking into these local branches. BB&T has now lost 100% of my business banking and we are now vigilantly switching everything else over to other banks. You cannot treat customers like you don't need them, if you do we will leave and you can sit behind your desk and wonder why your numbers are down for the month. Some say goodbye, I say good riddance. Sloppy Sloppy Sloppy...

      AVOID DRIVE-THRU ATM AT ALL COSTS!! Inserted my non bb&t debit card, requested my cash, and it took 21 minutes to complete my transaction! Horrendous, atrocious, any other adjectives for the worst! The employees couldn’t/wouldn’t help, but did mention somebody rolls around once a week to give back debit card this atm eats. Yikes. Also called the number on the atm, was on hold for 21 mins. A bad, bad, bad place that will leave you in fear that you’ve lost your debit card and are getting no cash.

      I have dealt with this bank and both branches in Springfield, VA. They have always been attentive and courteous to me. I change to this bank because when my father passed away they were there to help me every step of the way, where Bank of America would not even notarize documents and Wahovia (now Wells Fargo) did not have a clue, the Bank rep couldn't even run a number two pencil over a notary impression to copy it. BB&T hand no issue. The tellers are always friendly. I personally hate banks but this one is a step above the other. Don't understand the negative post, don't be an irresponsible account holder and expect a large institution to manage your actions. If you have money be responsible with it, know what you have and understand the consequences.

      I wish I could give them 0 stars... they are the absolute worst. Rude, awful customer service, difficult to work with, and they make it hard to bank there. I have one last account there and I will be closing it this week. I miss the Catlett branch. These women are catty, couldn't care less about you, and can't be bothered. Lucy, Liz, and the branch manager are the worst. There is one gentleman there who is pleasant but I am afraid he is the only one...

      BB&T Worse Bank in America.... people never do business with this bank. They hold ur fund and not give you ur money when need it... they holding my fund for 3 years not giving my fund and They not closing my account also...

      This bank took advantage of my naive son and his lack of understanding. He is a college student with a part-time job. Once his account began overdrawn they didn't notify him or freeze any additional transactions. They charged him several fees over $350. That was his salary for 4 weeks. Shameful!!!

      Their ATM ate my debit card. Because it was not from BB&T, they refused to give it back, even with my bank on the line. Their policy makes no sense, and they refused to give back a card that their defective machine took.

      How is a branch when closed on the inside only has 1teller and 1 drivethrough lane opened during afternoon rushhour...always like 10+ cars and takes 1hour to have a transaction done

      Terrible customer service, now I know why the parking lot was empty. Avoid this branch if you anything that the atm can't do for you.
