  This last winter my wife and I decided to sell our home in Key West, one we owned and loved for close to 30 years. We asked a good friend if he could recommend a realtor to us, and without hesitation he mentioned Bascom Grooms, the broker in his firm. Our friend named a few other possibilities, but he quickly returned to Bascom. It was a wise choice. In a nutshell, Bascom is bright, knows the market inside out, has extraordinary judgment, knows when it’s time to stay the course, and when it’s time to make adjustments. We did, indeed, reduce the price over time, but not in a way that compromised our goal. He boldly suggested in late spring that we clear the house and have an “estate” sale (which would make the house twice as big), and we closed on the sale in early August. Bascom is what you look for in handling one of your largest lifetime investments— approaching it methodically, intelligently, creatively, aggressively and patiently. He knows where his client wants to end up, and in our case that’s exactly what happened. It’s no accident that year after year Bascom is singled out for his outstanding performance.

  We had Ed Salazar from Bascom Grooms Realty as our realtor and we were very pleased with his services. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
