      Absolutely hands down TERRIBLE bank! I had lost 3 payments to important bills they never went through on the banks side, the bank never reimbursed me even though I had the confirmation numbers for payments AND filed a dispute!. Bank of the west then tacked on fees and sent it to collections agency. Reasons like this customers are nervous to trust banks with their hard earned money!.

      DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK!! My partner and I have both used this bank for a little over a year now and have both incurred several hundred dollars of fees that this bank has basically told us sorry you're going to have to eat it. They know exactly what they're doing they get you to falsely open a premium account and then after 3 months they take it away get you to sign more paperwork and basically set you up so that you do constantly incur these fees so then when I went to close my account out I got told oh well there's nothing we can do because you signed this piece of paper I am now out money as well as professionally I'm going to hold them legally responsible for the money that they charged me because the money they charged me that came out of my account was for my business and my music career. I am calling the attorney general and better Business bureau to complain about this branch I know several people who have had the same issue with this branch take my advice do not use this Bank don't even use their ATM you will regret it. Wells Fargo makes this place look like a walk in the park. WORST BANK EVER ID RATHER JUST USE CASH FROM NOW ON!!! I basically got told that because of all the activity on my account that this was my fault even though my account never went negative absolutely ridiculous. The manager was absolutely worthless and oh they won't answer their phones for the first hour they're open don't forget about that!!! great customer service jkjk not

      I like it but how they going to change me a ATM fee for using another ATM when I went directly to there's first and it was temporarily out of service!!!??? Then I put my work check in which I live check to check like most folks and I didn't get it till Tuesday which I put in on Friday!!??? At least have 2 ATMs. Idk if it's normal but I have to go to Safeway to cash my check then I have to bring it to my bank to put my money in to have it available that day. Kinda too extra

      Bank of the West has a wonderful staff. They are friendly and knowledgeable. This bank has always been responsive to my bank needs. They once caught a fraud charge on my account before I did! It was also fixed while staff supported me with the proper paperwork to do so. I truely appreciate having Bank of West in Trinidad. Many great state of the art mobile banking options! This really helps those of us who travel with banking needs. I highly recommend Trinidad Bank of the West!

      Worst bank I have ever dealt with. First of all they mislead you about their “Account Overdraft Service” which only covers your debit card and not checks and which is also at the discretion of the bank. I can tell you the bank has never covered one transaction through my debit card or check. They also like to run the check multiple times so they can add up multiple fees even though the check didn’t clear the first time. Then they like to do a thing called a 91 hold, where they can hold your check as long as they want to or until they verify the funds in the account which they say they do but they never really call until you have to talk to the manager who has to be persuaded to call because his employees are incompetent. This is by far the worst bank in the history of banks. Banks are supposed to work for you, to hold your money until you need it, not find sneaky, manipulative, underhanded, thieving ways to steal from you.

      1:30 p.m. on a Thursday and there's one teller working drive-thru and counter. Wait times were 15 to 20 mins. Poor customer service and obviously poor management. May consider other banking options.

      For the most part, they are a nice bank to work with. However, the drive thru always takes forever! You can expect at least a half an hour even if there's just one or two vehicles ahead of you.

      Worst bank I have ever had the experience of being with. Do not put your money here. They hold the money, lie, charge bogus fees and say it was from a transaction over a month ago they are charging a fee for. The aervice is terrible. You cant use the drive for anything because they aak you to come inside. They havw trouvle cashing checks. You will habe troublw cashing their checks. And I've been trying for a month to close my account and its atill open. I have called and been in the bank to close it. Seriously bank with walmart or anything before here. Your money is safer in an unlocked car, at least then you could have access to your money.

      This bank she be called "Bank of the Worst!" Service is horrible, rude staff and they take forever to cash a check. I have the flu and a serious cough. I went through the drive thru, so I wouldn't be coughing all over everyone in the bank. But the needed me to come in for a thumb print. Really ridiculous being as they can put the ink pad in the tube and send it to me. To put my thumb print on the check. Instead they wanted me to go into the bank. Over cashing a 40$ check. It's not like I was cashing thousands of dollars. No other bank in Trinidad requires this. Bank eles where. I will no longer take checks from this bank at my place of business.

      Do not waste your time and energy with this bank. Trust me. This bank is not for the people. They are for themselves. Sneaky and incompetent. They held a check for over a week now that we had received a week before Christmas and now it’s the day after and still nothing. We had to call them to release the check. No call to us to see if in fact the check was ours. No nothing. Ridiculous. This is not the first time. We are switching banks immediately.
