Bank of the West Reviews

Adam Goodwin1Terrible customer service. I walked in to open a checking account with zero customers in the bank or in the drive thru. There were 3 bankers chatting in the office about their weekend and the teller told me they were too busy to open an account and I needed to schedule an appointment. I guess your weekend was more important than my business.

Zack Smith1Deposited $700 dollars cash ATM restarted and kept card and money and didn't show on account management was rude and arrogant when they stole $700 cash a week before Christmas. Do not bank here, management needs to be replaced and I used them for years but management will keep me away for life.

Hunter Mason1This bank deserves zero stars. The representatives don't want to work with you face-to-face, if they are even there (as the bank chooses to close on random non-holiday days and stay closed for several days on end). The bank's ATM, which you must use to avoid service fees, constantly eats cards (I'm on my 5th this year already) and only can only be retrieved when certain employees are working.... DO NOT BANK HERE! Also, there is no help from the call lines or phone numbers listed....

T Cohick1HORRIBLE customer service!!! Took 15 minutes to do a deposit with ZERO other customers around!! I actually had to call the bank from the drive through to figure out what was happening!! Then the “manager” just talked right over me and explained that, even though a person is physically in the drive the area, they aren’t actually processing anything for customers!!!!

Jeff Albrecht1Very poor customer service. I've banked at BOF for over 10-years. Mainly in Boulder CO where I have received excellent customer service. Set up a small account here for Amazon purposes. Called the customer service person there and transferred all mail to my Boulder address. Got a call from a collections person saying account was over drawn. They didn't even have the professionalism to call me to let me know I was overdrawn before sending me to collections. They were still using an outdated address. Branch manager said calling before collections was a courtesy and not a requirement! What poor business accumen since the the better a customer's credit the more money they can borrow. I would never use this branch again. Extremely disappointed since I have banked with BOF for over 10-years with a perfect history. It always amazes me how the employee mentality even with this branch manager is to do the bare minimum. As a business professional I need to get results. Too bad my credit score has now taken a big hit and I will not be able to take any loans out for a while now because a branch manager was lazy. Extremely disappointed with BOF in general not being able to rectify this sloppy and lazy behavior on the part of this branch manager. Jeff A. Boulder, CO

Alana Martinez1Worst bank ever charge you for things that aren't even seen on your online bank give you a refund only once a year will deposit yiur checks into the wrong account and change you number without making you aware... will hold yiur check for two weeks after mobile deposit it.... reps do not know what good customer service is just had 2 reps hang up on me because I was upset about an extra overdraft fee that was charged because of an unauthorized purchase said I would have to cancel and would have to wait 3 months for 35 dollars back... this bank is a rip off NEVER GO HERE

Cheryl Chaney1I find this branchon Dell Range very undermanned. While the branch manager is trying to be professional she comes across very very condonsending. This account was my mother's. The only reason I kept it open in my name was for my memories of her. While because of the manager's condonsending attitude I have chosen to close this Itty-bitty account and deposit it into my accounts at Blue FCU. I went to the Carey branch and with drew $1600 of this itty-bitty account. In a week I will be back to close it totally. I am just hoping other people like my mom who have very little are not treated in a condonsending manner.

Mis Wyo5As a rule, I usually opt for drive thru banking but I like to go inside at this branch because the staff always remember me. The tellers are always kind, courteous and wearing smiles!
