WyHy Federal Credit Union Reviews

Sheena S5Highly recommend loans with WyHy! We walked in yesterday and met Shelby. She was professional, super friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone else we encountered also seemed super nice and ready to help. We did not have an account with them, but saw their amazing auto loan promotions and wanted to see if we qualified. We ended up financing our new truck through WyHy, without the crazy high pressure to purchase extras you often see at dealer finance offices. They offer all the same extended warranty's and GAP insurance, but without the pressure someone on commission would push. We did all the signing at WyHy, quicker and for a lower rate than the dealer could offer, and they gave us the check to give the dealership for an easy transaction. We are moving all our other loans to WyHy immediately! Thank you for such a great experience.

Kathy Loetscher5We have had loans with them in the past and starting a new one soon! We would only come here for a loan because they make it so easy. We also can get cashier's checks anytime for free due to their priority point system . Recommend them!

Tina Lovato1They were very unprofessional. Lost my paperwork multiple times. And they didn't communicate between eachother. Definitely don't recommend them at all. If you go to a credit union. Pick one that has the right goals for you. Not to screw you in the end.

Darius Vega - 8PA-C1I have 2 auto loans through them since I moved to Cheyenne & that was a mistake because this credit union has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. You want my money but I can't get an email response to save my life just to make an auto loan payment. I still have not received the info I requested about my loan account until I was finally able to call during their business hrs which is the only time I can get through. Problem is I'm at work before they open & still at work after they close but they never respond to my emails then I get the run around. It took me 11 days to finally get a hold of someone to make my first payment for my 2nd auto loan because I took a couple hrs off of work to make that phone call. This was the same issue I had with my first auto loan & just figured that doesn't normally happen, so not a huge deal but that is not the case at all. Why didn't the loan dept answer my emails? Why hasn't customer service contacted me yet after I messaged them? This is annoying because I'm not a deadbeat, I'm building my credit back & you're messing with my credit at this point!!!! Once I can refinance next year I'm done! I keep all my receipts, emails & necessary information, if my credit takes another hit because of their lack of professionalism, then I will take legal action because I have done everything correctly on my end, period!

Liz1Jisell is highly incompetent and unprofessional. Having someone in the loan department that isn’t capable of sending paperwork in under 5 hours is uncalled for.

Vincinity1Extremely poor customer service. They outsource all phone calls to the “shared branch network” who are unhelpful and often have you on hold for 30+ minutes and once you can get through to the actual Cheyenne branch, the boomer women who answer are extremely short and rude. Have had to reorder debit cards that get lost in the mail, and get charged a fee for not using the debit card that I have waited a month for. I have had an account at wyhy for nearly 20 years, and next time I am in Cheyenne, I will be stopping by and closing my account. Trash for a credit union. I recommend Blue or any other credit union for that matter.

Michelle A Garcia1Great place if you like being ignored! The lines are always a wait inside and out. They said it's faster if you use the ATM. The ATM machine cannot read deposit checked! So you end up calling for a teller, and you will be waiting a minimum of 8 minutes. I was the ONLY car and it took 25 minutes. I applied for a loan no response! Only one teller there helping on a Friday afternoon. The Operation Manager always says someone will be right with you. Just plan on making it a day there. The debit card they issued cannot be used for on-line purchases. They spend a bunch of money on remodeling instead of staff. Good luck if you use this credit union! A big plus is the change machine is awesome but you do have to wait to redeem it with a teller! The machine is super fast! I am leaving my account open only for the change machine!

Adam Dippold1I've been/was a member with WyHy for 7+- yrs. It is worse than Wells Fargo. If you have a credit card account with them and get a new card for any reason (lost, stolen, worn out), you have to input the new card number into the website for your statements to update. Otherwise it just looks like you owe them nothing, and since I pay off my card every month and rarely use this card, I didn't know I owed them money so I got a late fee and a ding on my credit. This is a new feature added just in the last year or two as I've had to replace my card before and never had to do this. The lady at the bank was very kind and said that she didn't think it would be a problem to correct everything on their end since I have perfect credit with them but she would have to take it up to the board. Well, they didn't agree with her, and everything stood as is. Also, the login system is a joke. Every six months they require you to change your password and they lock you out without telling you if you don't do it in time. Also, inside the bank they got rid of stand alone tellers. Now they have tellers/loan officers which slows down the teller lines tremendously. If your considering using this bank for anything, don't. They entice with good rates on their products, but their service for those products is the worst I've ever seen.

Shauna Hensala1We have banked at WYHY since 1985. In the last few years the service has deteriorated to the point that they are no longer a viable option for my banking needs. You can NEVER get a real person on the phone The recording assures you several times that your call is important but you are eventually forwarded to call center where English is not the primary language spoken. I tried 4 different extensions today and every single one went to voicemail. I have not received a return call yet. It seems the only way to get anything done is to slog over in person. I went through the drive through once. The computer was rebooting and the screen said "Please wait while Windows 7 loads'. Windows 7 is out of date and no longer offers the degree of security I expect for my financial transactions. I went inside and was informed by the teller that I could have completed my transaction in the drive up. I felt she was inconvenienced by having to assist a customer. Customer service is absolutely unacceptable.

Jennifer Ray1We recently got a car loan with them through the dealership we purchased from and we have no idea when our payment is due. We haven’t received any kind of paperwork or anything from them and it’s been almost a month. I just spent 15 minutes holding on the phone and I had to hang up because I couldn’t wait any longer. This was after making 3 calls as the automated system hung up on me all 3 times. I am going into them since I couldn’t reach anyone via phone.. Went in and got the same service. Not happy at all with this place. Do not go here!
