  If I could leave zero stars I would. My father passed away a few weeks ago and I needed a notary asap. I walked into their open lobby and was greeting by smiling faces. I asked how much the charge was to notarize my single paper and they asked if I was a member. I said no and they said they would absolutely not notarize a form or even charge a fee. They said I needed to be a member no matter what. I went over to Bank of Coloramo and they notarized without membership and were super understanding. Never going to that bank again. They don't care about individuals as human beings, only the bottom line.

  Do not use this bank to do small business banking with. Recent policy changes including new overage charges, min balance requirements, etc. were added to my accounts post COVID-19. This seems a strong indication of cost recover tactics pointed toward making sure they get the best spot on the few life rafts offered during a sinking ship scenario when a banking system starts "taking on water" and thus seems a movement in that direction. The staff there have been decent to me over my years with this bank, but now it has become too expensive to bank there for a very small guy to function with them as a bank to use for small business. It was a nice relationship for a couple years, but now the return of Gold to back the US Dollar again on the near horizon seems to have made the roaches begin to scatter! I predict a closure of this branch by year's end.

  While this bank is convenient located in the local community its staff could gain from a customer service class. I was rudely spoken to when I arrived early to bank for my company. I just went to drive thru for some change and lady said " we open at 9am we will help you at that time and walked away from the window. " THANKS! Good morning. A better approach to customers should be taken. Every interaction can be positive or negative and its a shame a few extra moments could not have been taken for a couteous greeting.

  Bank anywhere but here! "Managment" that doesn't have a clue, constant employee turnover and horrible customer service. We had to redo our kids savings account several times due to their multiple mistakes. Caught them taking monthly penalties fees away from 14 year olds saving acct. On the last visit (final straw) they refused to give the kid a balance on his own savings account. Mind you he just handed them cash and filled out a deposit slip in front of the teller. They stated it violates their policy because he was a minor. We had multiple receipts, from multiple tellers, on multiple visits WITH A BALANCE and NOW you cant help us? I asked where the people are that set up and screwed up said account now 3 times over. They no longer work there! (No suprise)The manager then blamed the tellers stating that THEY had been doing it wrong all this time. Arbitrarily picking when one imposes a policy and throwing your employees under the bus is why Bank of the West is a joke and the manager is/was VERY unprofessional. With 600 locations and 30,000+ employees...they have zero common sense and you are just a number. BANK ANYWHERE ELSE!

  When I was going to the bank I called first and they were very respectful and kind and when I walked in I was nicely greeted and they haloed me very fast. I would highly recommend this bank.

  This bank sent me on a wild goose chase to open a completely federally legal hemp business account, then denied my account after 6 weeks of waiting.

  The memory of a few people and a few years of my life The Bank changed its name a few times over the years. I'm going to stick with my bank I have an account already
