  Will not answer there 24 hour service number and will not answer at the local open branches. I am locked out of my account without access due to their algorithm used to stop fraudulent Transactions. Thanks Wally Word for your messed up app that hit my account multiple times for a pickup order. Updated tried again 11 pm on the 24/7 customer service line and they did answer but would not talk. Line was a open mic with no one on the other end. If you are in real need of a bank avoid Bank of the West. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

  Horrible customer service. Only did business with them for my husband because he was too busy to run to the bank. I do not recommend them at all. It was more of a headache than anything else.

  Been a customer for roughly 4 years now and every single time that I pull up through the drive thru it takes a minimum of 15 minutes to complete my transaction. It doesn't matter how many cars are in line, what day it is, or what time of day it is. I was under the impression that the drive thru banking was intended to be quick and convenient. Also, their customer service could use some attention. Very disappointed in this bank and will begin making a switch.

  They recently closed west st branch . Customer Service there was excellent. This branch has horrible customer Service. Sat in branch for 30 min without being acknowledged. Here due to mistakes made by customer Service when opening an account for My Grandaughter. In fact so many mistakes were made We had to come back next day. Because She got locked out of the system SMH.

  I have always been treated respectfully and professionally. I have banked with them since 1992 through all the name changes. I've had one incident with my checking account and it was taken care of immediately. Not bad for 26 years of service. Keep up the good work guys.

  "DO NOT BANK WITH THE 21ST & MAIZE BRANCH! I wouldn't even give them one star, if it was Possible. While at the hospital for 3 wks with my Son who almost died they charged me over $1200 in overdraft charges without even a phone call asking My daughter or I (who have been with them for 14yrs), what's going on with the account? I was a little busy with a Dying Son to be looking at an account that they should've called on when they saw it get this far over drawn. It's not like this happens with my account at the BANK and they can see that in the history of the account! Instead they ate my entire pay check even after My Company who also Banks with them sent a reversal knowing the account was compromised, they kept the check and still saying I owe even more. My daughter went in when we saw what was going on and tried to get them to Close the account and instead they left it opened and have continued to hit the account with even more Overdraft charges, I couldn't even make the house payment and had to take out a loan to pay it. After emails & phone calls It's still not resolved. They keep saying I need to come in , explained to her I'm still dealing with a very sick Son and also been dealing with a funeral And trying to do my Job before I get fired, need to handle this over the phone. Nope insisting that I come in. This is NOT rocket science reverse the nearly $2000 dollars in Late fees and my account is NOT overdrawn. "DO NOT BANK WITH BANK OF THE WEST"! I will be calling the AG & making sure people on Facebook & Twitter know how they operate.

  Held our own money captive. Wouldn't allow us to withdraw more than $1000 of our own money through a separate bank, when our other banks would allow $6000/day withdrawn through other banks. Lied to us saying they increased the amount to get us off of the phone. Will never work with them again.

  5 years of loyal auto-loan payments. Always paid the full amount. Finally received my final payment notice for the $11,000 amount and they tacked on a $9.86 fee to it. Flabbergasted. I had considered using Bank of The West for my new checking account and my new loan account on my coming vehicle purchase since I never had a problem before this, but after experiencing them fleecing me for a few dollars after 5 years of patronage I'm disgusted. A call to the loan department got me an unsympathetic and unhelpful agent who essentially told me "tough luck". I'm still in awe at this strange petty fee. You hear stories of the big banks screwing customers, but you never think they're real. Stay away.

  Very high turnover rate with customer service clerks.
