Deborah Moody5Bank of the Sierra has always helped me with any need or problems that I've experienced. They're not only helpful but expedient. They always exceed my expectations.

Jesse F1On June 1st I went to the branch on Main St. In Visalia which is where I bank. I got there at 3:05 expecting the bank lobby to open. Why not, the lobby was open just a couple of weeks ago. I saw a line of customers lined up outside and thought, why are they lined up outside? I'm going inside, I'm not standing outside in 103 degree heat. I got to the door and it was locked. I was shocked. I knocked on the door repeatedly. Finally, the branch manager opened the door and I asked her why the lobby was closed. She stated that the lobby closes at 3pm. I pointed out to her that the business hours on the door state that the branch closes at 4pm. She pointed to a flyer next to the door saying it states 3pm. I read the flyer and it did not have anything written on it regarding closing at 3pm. All the meanwhile, about eight of us were standing outside in 103 degree hot weather. Even an eighty year old gentleman in a wheel chair was outside in the heat. I am very disappointed in Bank of the Sierra's lack of customer service. I also spoke to the regional manager only to get the "I am so sorry and understand you are upset" answer to which I am sure nothing will be done about it. I don't understand. I also bank at another bank and customers don't have to wait outside. I gave 1 star only because I had to to leave this review. Even one star is a far stretch. I'm sure I'll be closing my business accounts soon.

John McConnehey1This is the worst bank I have ever used. They have the most archaic banking policy I know of, especially their deposit policy. Their debt card Mastercard is mostly useless; it cannot be used for credit purchases. I had trouble with my mother's account even though I was signed on the account. I simply cannot imagine a worst bank.

Jacob Krohmer2weekends off and other really small holidays. and the way the security is being sent to a lot of different people having another bank is really in the options. it's sad i've gotta get things done.
Response from the ownerWe are sorry we have not met your expectations. You’ll find that nearly all U.S. banks – including Bank of the Sierra – are closed on the same holidays because they are tied to the operations of the Federal Reserve System. Please call 1-888-454-BANK for assistance.
