  Came in to open up an account and brought my dad along to open one as well. We came in around 4:30pm and we were greeted by Mitch who was more than happy to take care of us and even stayed well passed closing time to make sure all our questions were answered and that we were completely satisfied. Excellent customer service which is what will keep me coming back and telling others.

  i have had quite a year with some questionable activity on my acct. I’ve had my card stolen, my info taken offline, and other atrocities. VADA at my local Fort Hill BOTJ has 100% been there for me and has always taken care of these unfortunate situations. She is on top of everything, always answers, always follows up. She is thorough and ALWAYS professional & friendly…Even manages to make me laugh in spite of whatever new situation I have found myself in. I would NEVER do business with another bank and i can’t say enough great things about Vada. Thank YOU 🙏🏼

  After dealing with 3 different banks to settle my parents" estate after they passed away, I can say with certainty that Bank of the James has been the easiest to deal with! Vada Kidd has been wonderful to deal with! She is a knowledgeable, caring person who helped me immensely.

  Such great people, I consider them all family. I've been banking with them for 8 1/2 years. I pass by 2 other Bank of the James everyday, and I still travel out of my way to this bank. 😊

  I have been a Bank of The James customer since the day the bank opened .. Having a Local Bank really shows how they treat there customers with so much friendliness in everyway - No matter what Branch you go to ...Yesterday I had tried to reset a password and was having an issue with my computer and the new one - In less than 5 mins Vada at the Fort Ave Branch had me back up and running - Thank you Vada and to all the other BOJ Employees.
