  This was the first time I’ve worked with a client using Beacon for mortgage. The client chose to work with Beacon bc their car loan was through them and they did a good job. My clients now very much regret using Beacon for the home loan. It was by far the worst experience I have ever dealt with in over 5 years of selling real estate. Nothing was done on the loan a week before we were supposed to close. The loan officer never explained all the options and requirements to my clients. Communication in general was poor. When trying to reach out to the loan officers manager, we got redirected back to the loan officer. I would never in a million years recommend this company, even if they have the best rate. Not worth the headache to deal with this company

  The only good thing about this bank is the interest rate, but other than that it is all together disorganized. One time I had questions about how the interest rate worked, but not only did the teller not know how it worked, and I mean at all, but another teller I could hear was bad-mouthing me behind a desk where she thought I couldn't hear her. I'll probably still keep them even though they're incredibly frustrating just for the interest rate. I'll definitely keep the lowest amount of money possible in the bank though, which really doesn't help them at all. This was my experience several months ago to clarify.

  My husband and I had an incredible experience here working with Danielle! We came in simply wanting to open a joint checking account, and Danielle helped us not only open accounts, but become eligible for INCREDIBLE deals and helped us get a lower auto loan rate through a promotion without us even asking about it! She was personable and patient through every question we had. It was a wonderful experience and we’re so glad we’re members of Beacon Credit Union mown Thanks Danielle!

  The teller working at 11am on 2/26/21 honestly couldn’t have more of an attitude. I’m not sure what her problem was but get it together. I would recommend this bank to anyone.

  Very disappointed!! Why are still being racially profiled. Its disgusting!!! Do better as a bank. From the moment I walked in I was frowned on and asked several times if i had $ to open a account today. Yes I replied I wouldn't be here if I couldn't afford to be here. I called before I even went in there to make sure I could open a account. They made every excuse known to man as to why I could not open the account. This is 2020, not 1920 I have just as many rights as any other human to be treated with diginty and respect.

  After dealing with Beacon Credit Union with lackluster experiences for the last 8 months, I’m happy to wave goodbye! They took over the Danville City Employees’ Federal Credit Union portfolio and have absolutely failed at delivering anything that resembles customer service. Incompetent, robotic, halfhearted service reps and nickel and diming business practices are so last century. When I explained my concerns and asked the rep, Sarah, why I should consider staying, she could only speak to their “cheap” products (aka every credit union’s value proposition). These cheapskates forced me to send them a 0.68 check because they didn’t process my final payment in a timely manner (that’s right, they don’t “do” electronic payments, yet they will charge you $3 per month for a paper statement). Never felt so good to say farewell. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this hot mess express excuse of a financial institution. They get one star because zero isn’t an option. Bye, Felicia!

  Been dealing with Beacon Credit Union for a little over a year now. They offered me a great auto loan rate considering my age and I'm always greeted with a smile when I walk in. Ask for Connor, he will take care of you
