I'm not sure why this location is getting such bad reviews. I normally do all my banking online with BOFA and have had nothing but stellar service online. I had to come here for a cashier's check and i found the staff helpful and polite.

      Response from the owner

Excellent! Thanks for sharing your experience and positive feedback about Bank of America. We value having you as a client. ^chris

I only come here once a month to make work deposits and it’s always the same scenario. One teller, long line and a bunch of other “important” people standing around or sitting in their offices. They see the line, they ignore the line! So happy this is NOT MY BANK!

      Response from the owner

My banking location in O’Fallon was closed and unfortunately I had to come to this location. The bank mantis very rude. Customer service told me to reach out to the manager of this location and thought she would be of some help. Not at all. She was rude with telling me that really there’s nothing she could do if there was a hold put on my check. The bank teller that deposited my check told me the wrong info and she didn’t care. She never looked my account up. The bank manager told me I could come in but there’s not anything she could do. I really wish I had read the reviews on this location before I went because it’s obvious that I’m not the only customer with issues for this location. If I could I would give zero stars for the way this place is ran. Also it took me several attempts to even get someone to pickup the phone

My mother has her checking account at this bank. We usually bank in O’Fallon where she lives, but to our surprise it was closed yesterday (12/21/21). So we drove to Belleville to make a deposit and order new checks for her. She is 94 and quite frail, but has her senses about her (she worked in accounts receiving at Boatman’s bank for 20 years). There were three employees waiting to greet us when we walked in. All three were rude and condescending to her. They acted like she didn’t know what she was talking about receiving free checks with her checking account. She is hard of hearing and not one of them spoke loudly enough for her to hear them. They kept asking me questions instead of addressing the questions to her. They suggested on line banking. She only has a flip phone. Technology is beyond her at this point of her life. They needed her debit card (which she doesn’t use). She struggled with the PIN number. This was all for ordering checks. She had her checkbook and checks with her. Then we had to wait for a personal banker to order the checks. Then we had to move to a different cubicle because the tablet was not working. It was such a horrible experience. Why was this such a problem? I bank at a different bank entirely and never have this problem, especially when ordering checks. I hand the reorder slip to a teller and that’s all I do. Also, there was one teller at the windows and 6 people in line. I stood in that line so she could sit on the sofa to wait. Where has helpfulness gone? And kindness to elders?

These two ATMs behind the Belleville BoA are convenient, however, the access to the ATMs are quite narrow.  Be careful if you have a large truck or otherwise oversized vehicle you may have to pull in your mirrors.

I've been wanting to close my accounts because their hours my wife and I cant make it there to close them. And only two locations in the area. 9-4? Not even open 8 hours. Today the lady was rude. And that was my last straw. I do NOT recommend BOA at all... at any locations.

This is the standard for slow banking, no compassion, no sense of urgency and they just seem mean about the whole experience. I had to cash a check here, a simple transaction and because I don’t have an account with them I had to wait for a personal banker. So frustrating while I see people just just sitting around.
