  My wife wanted to add me as an authorized user on her checking account (not a joint account). Bank of America tried to run my credit, which I have a security freeze on. I told them the regulations which say that it's only needed for CREDIT ACCOUNTS and LOANS. They refused to even do business with me because I wouldn't let them damage my credit. They make their own rules here and don't listen to the rules of the federal government.

While we are able to add an individual as an Authorized User for a Credit Card account, Checking or Savings accounts would not have an Authorized User option and therefore would need to be added as a Co-Owner to the account, which can require a soft credit review for verification purposes. However, if you are wanting to be added to a Checking/Savings account, but not as a Co-Owner, then the other way to be added to an existing Owner's account would be if you were their Power of Attorney with appropriate documentation.   Zero Star!!! Worst BOA I've ever been to, that black dude manager is a condescending liar. At first he said they CAN definitely help me with waive service fee problem, but I need to make an appointment first..because they are very busy, they can't provide service for me(he never say I could wait, and since when bank won't provide service for walking in customer???), I look around there's only 4-5 customers in the whole bank, including me. So I go to the counter trying to cancel the account, it's also him, he said he can't do it, I still need to call customr service over the phone. Then I said I could wait for banker, then he said they CAN NOT help me waive the service, I need to call the Custom service. What a Liar!!! BTW, I already tried making an appointment with this location before I travel there, the system just not letting me do so. I also already called customer service, but they are very limited service, not hleping, it's them let me talk to banker...

  Terrible services at this bank. I'm planning to close my bank account because their business hours are limited and not convenient, nor they provide good services as they did. they just open 9-4pm, M-F.

  I've been here several times and the atm's have no money in them. Bank doesn't open till 10 people start lining outside the doors at 9:30. its ridiculous. One would think that during this covid19 pandemic that the atm's would be fully accessible for those who can't and don't want to waste time in line to withdraw money. Doesn't seem to difficult to make sure your machine can dispense "our" money. You have no problem collecting monthly charges etc. Get it together Bank of America

  Had to make a withdrawal and of all the branches in Elk Grove this is the only one open for in person business. Only 2 tellers working. Ridiculous!!! Avoid Bank of America. I had terrible experiences in the past and thought they would have improved over the years, NOT!!!!

  I absolutely hate this place... they closed down the one around the corner and okay I can understand why but what I dont understand is why in the f@$! would they not get more help for this freaking line that is always all the way out the door... just makes me want to change banks... I hate this place, avoid by any means possible... they are slow, they only have 1 to 2 tellers open... it is just bullshit!!!
