Jorge Valenzuela (the market manager of this Bank of America and other nearby branches) had at least 3 different employees test positive for Covid-19 at his Rancho Encinitas branch during this pandemic and each time Jorge attempted to keep the Encinitas branch open for as long as possible without notifying customers of the infections until the bank’s safety department shut it down to reduce exposure. This is unacceptable behavior and violates every health and safety code there is. Get this guy removed from his position.

The personal banker Sara was rude. I just met her and the first thing she asked me was where I worked. I found the question to be abrupt and none of her business, I wasn’t asking for a loan, I was just there to withdraw money and make a cashiers check. Sara, if you read this, please realize that someone’s value extends far beyond their ability to acquire material wealth. Have respect for other people regardless of where they work or what you can get out of them.

I work in Carlsbad and unfortunately this is the closest BofA to me. My first experience was 2 weeks ago when my card had been hacked and I just needed help getting a temporary card and get some cash out of my account because I had to shut off my card. The Bankers were too busy to help me.... Today I went in to get help with a Wire transfer for the purchase of my new home. I checked in with the teller and after I was seated for a bit a gentlemen was seen ahead of me with one of the bankers. Shortly after, another banker came out and he asked me what I needed. I told him, and he said, he has an appointment at 1, and I should come back at a different time. I asserted that this branch is not suited to meet the needs of the customer and he boastfully stated "that's why we have appointments", I replied that the gentlemen that was seen ahead of me did not have an appointment and I had been waiting longer than he was. He had nothing further to say and I walked out literally wanting to close the bank that I have had since forever....There goes my lunch hour. Now I have to get to a bank after work, before I have to go to class, so that I can secure my future home.... No biggie right... just a few moments of your time hangs the future of mine in the balance. For the record he had 12 minutes to help me out before his next appointment and they had not arrived yet. BTW the tellers get 4 stars. They abide by standards and provide a good customer experience.

If I could list a negative I would. Without question the slowest and most incompetent bank in the history of the world. The last time I went there I waited for more than 15 minutes to see a teller, the last 7 or so because the teller was having a personal conversation with a customer! Total joke. I tried calling to complain after I left and nobody answered. I called probably 5 times and never got an answer - only an automated message directing me to the Bank of America website - I wasn't even able to leave a message.

Teller Luis is the rudest teller I've ever come across. First of the month and they have one teller with 6 people in line. The other available teller was on the phone, another one walking to the offices, and two financial reps in their offices. I told him they should have more available tellers on the 1st of the month, and he had the nerve to tell me. "they're doing stuff". Punk

The bank staff at this Loker branch are useless! They were patronizing me like I did not know anything! Teller was nice but the business banker and manager were so rude! Telling me something completely different than the branch off Miramar Road. Don't bother giving them your money!!!! RUDE and they don't know what they are talking about! I don't know why men think they can treat women like they are incompetent. What a complete waste of my time!!!

Poorly managed, zero concern or courtesy for customers waiting in line. Today I waited in line for 20 mins only to leave out of frustration because there were 5+ bank employees but only 1 teller who was stuck on 1 customer the entire time. 2 other customers in line with me also left without accomplishing what they came there to do. (To be noted one personal banker I believe his name was Aakash apologized to the customers stuck waiting in line)

Bank of America only does what is required by FDIC to stay in business. Their customer service is poor and even that is a compliment compared to the years of history with mine, and several other families I know. Bank with a credit union.

Just left this bank to make a simple deposit and after 30 mins and only one teller, we left I will never go back. One gentleman even apologized for the wait, but couldn't help us cause he only did home loans! 3:25, 9/13/18

Shocked about the low rating for this bank.... Just opened all new accounts, got online access and have been helped with several complex banking issues and this branch has been great. Friendly and very helpful. Best banking experience I have had to date.
