  My mother added my name to her account when she was dying of cancer (and clearly had chemo brain) so that when she passed I'd have the ability to manage her final finances. After she died I went into this branch to notify them and they suggested I keep her account open for at least a year just in case any checks come in, otherwise I wouldn't be able to cash/deposit them. I did so but then they began charging fees since she no longer had a monthly direct deposit. Nobody told me I could've just left her savings account open and avoided fees. Then when I realized the fees I asked them to credit it and they refused, even though my mom never had any fees refunded during her lifetime and they allow courtesy refunds as well as bereavement exceptions. Since they wouldn't credit it back, the only thing I could do was cancel her checking account and leave the savings open. They aren't a customer friendly bank and don't work with surviving family members after the bankholder death. Don't expect them to care about your situation.. they don't. They're just a business that cares about making money!

  I've been with BAM for nearly 20 years and they have steadily decline until currently - they have all disappeared. Customer service is impossible to reach and even many ATM's are MIA. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They hold deposits until after posting withdrawals which causes overdrafts. This appears to be a new position they have initiated. I had a deposit that covered a number of checks and it showed on my statement as "pending". It was from another local bank within walking distance, but since there are no BAM's open near me, I cannot deposit in person or with cash. Had I been able to deposit cash, there would be no problem - late fees.

  No closed notice, atm closed in lobby, atm outside closed by loomis truck.and week of Christmas no less
