  We have had our VA backed mortgage with Bank Of America for over 5 years. We went to do a refinance to take advantage of these incredibly low interest rates and to cash out equity we have acquired. The BofA loan officer was COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE VA LOAN PROCESS.. He told us our interest rate would increase, that we would have closing costs AND that we could only cash out 60% of the equity, ALL of which was false. We took a friend's advice and contacted Rocket Mortgage by Quicken who dropped our current rate of 3.75 down to 2.75, told us there would be NO closing costs because it's a VA loan AND said that 100% of the equity was available for cash out. FELLOW VETERANS. If you are looking to use your VA COE to buy or refi your home, Rocket Mortgage by Quicken will SQUARE YOU AWAY!!
