  I love this place. I used to be a member at the Cedar Park location on Bell and I never got a straight answer. I was there for 23 years and nobody smiled, never a hello etc. In fact they would forget to ask me for my password! Very cold. At this new location of Balcones Woods and Research it is so different. Friendly caring and they go beyond what is expected. Ashley has been wonderful to work with at this location. I feel like they truly want to do the best for me. There is always a smile when I come into the bank and they remember me. I trust them that they will give me the correct answers. SO very happy!

  I recently financed a used auto loan with Austin Telco. Michael Olivares was the loan agent that I worked with and he made this experience so flawless and easy. Not only was the process easy but I have an amazing interest rate. I highly recommend Austin Telco and will definitely send all of my friends and family Michael’s way.

  My boss referred me to their car loan service. I got the Pre approval letter the same day that I applied, next day I paid deposit for a car but the delivery time was delayed because of chip shortage, I waited for two months, my pre approval has expired. The next day morning I received the purchase order, I called the customer service, they immediately helped me to resubmit an application and asked me to go to a branch to speed up the process. It only took 30 min as they promised, they financed me a new car 100% and the Interest rates are good. The staff was absolutely friendly, the team was professional and the whole process went well! 5 stars!

  COVID hit my business hard, usually in waves since I’m in a field that requires close contact for long periods of time. So cases go up and business goes down. It’s just been how it goes. Recently I’ve been sent to collections for a late CC payment. It happens, no big deal. Bonnie in collections is INCREDIBLY RUDE. When I told her I was looking for a supplemental job she replied “Well where are you looking? You’re not looking hard enough because there are thousands out there” She then proceeds to tell me to take out a cash advance on another card to pay my bill on the ATFCU one. Then I asked her if they are part of the Credit Union Alliance that waives ATM fees for other credit unions. She proceeded to CUT ME OFF and say “No, no! You’re not going to an ATM you’re going to do the cash advance directly at the bank!” Ummm EXCUSE ME!? First don’t cut me off. Second don’t tell me what I’m going to do. JFC. I’ve been a member here for 16 years and I have never been treated with disrespect like this. I’m appalled.

  Researched loan options and spoke at length over the phone regarding options that would work for us. Scheduled appointment with Kelly, per her recommendation for getting pre-approved. We were then told upon arrival they don’t do financing for private party boat purchases. This should have been disclosed up front. This was a complete waste of time and was very inconsiderate. Apathetic staff— blamed covid repeatedly. Do not recommend—you will just waste your time!

  This credit union is by far the worst! Not transparent with anything at all. They closed my account and I didn’t know until I tried to pay a bill, they stated my account didn’t have any activity within 45 days when I clearly had money deposited days before. Customer service is incompetent and inconsistent with what they tell you. Oh, and also if you plan on going out of TX/ or buying online anything that’s not based in TX your card will be declined and the kicker is they only give you a $250 spending limit. What a joke. Won’t be banking here ever again.

  They messed up my deposit. I told the manager and she didn't care. That's our hard earned money you are handling. Do better! It was corrected but only cause I noticed before I left... never coming back here to this location again

  If your looking for a credit union to help you with your financial services don't become a member here. All they care about is making money off of you on all the little fees and stuff they tack on. Just the most frustrating financial institution I've ever worked with. Checks won't deposit until the end of the work day they are deposited for too. So you if get paid on the first and have bills due on the first don't count on paying them on time. Mist off the people over the phone don't care and only want to get you off the phone with or with put making you happy. There are way better credit unions to use so before you sign up here shop around because you can and will find better....i would even consider going back to wells Fargo after the last year off hell atfcu has given me.

  Working with them is like working in a time where computers don't exist. They also lose part of your documents that you send with your signature which is concerning. Limited open hours, and poor response time to concerns is troubling. Do business with an institution that's left the dark ages.
