  I cannot recommend Bob Williams and Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group highly enough. As a first-time home buyer, they were there every step of the way, able to answer any question and walk me through all the complexities of a mortgage. I was also able to lock in a great rate (and trust me, I compared!). Overall, any purchaser of a home interested in a mortgage would do well to consider this company.

  Bob was very responsive and would follow up quickly when we had questions or concerns. He kept us updated as we progressed through the process. When we got to closing, the funds had already been wired and were ready to go. Atlantic Bay as a whole was super easy to work with.

  My husband and I are not from Roanoke, and we were purchasing our first new house in years. The mortgage process has definitely changed. Bob Williams was great! Bob was prompt, clear, and helpful, quickly responding to all of our questions. He sent helpful emails explaining what to expect at the next steps in the process and recommending the documentation we would need handy to complete the process.   I recently bought a home in Hardy Virginia. I did not live in the local area when I purchased the home and I was referred to Getra Haynes. Knowing I had some credit issues I wasn’t getting my hopes up. Like so many COVID took its toll on some of my credit for trivial stuff. I am also a 100% disabled veteran and I don’t generally put a lot of trust in any bank or financial institution. It’s hard to know who you can trust these days. It seems like everyone refers you somewhere but their sole intention is kickbacks not taking care of people. I am very reluctant in these types of proceedings. To be honest from the very first time I talked to Getra my defenses dropped. Some people are just good at what they do and some people are just good people. She fought for me from the beginning to the end and went beyond that to make sure I knew I wouldn’t be alone at any point in the loan even if it’s 25 years from now. I know when people are insincere and I very rarely if ever give my stamp of approval. That being said; from a retired veteran - if you need someone who’s going to be there for you the way you’d want them to if you were in a war zone, you can trust Getra. If she can’t help you she will tell you. If there is even the slightest chance she can help you she will go to work like she’s going to war for you. She’s not just good at what she does she’s legitimately “good people” and the fact that her company has so many five star reviews gives me faith that this is a company that believes in doing right by others over a bottom line for investors. I have never felt so humbled and honored to have someone take my best interest so seriously and treat me like someone in their family not just a client with dollar signs attached to me. Thank you to Getra and Atlantic Bay. Today I became a homeowner again and now have a chance to enjoy the dream I sacrificed 17 years of my life for.
