Scott Halbleib1Please stay far away from this company. I understand they have to make money, but to wait until the last minute before closing to add many more fees without notice is un ethical. Despite showing them all of their emails where they mentioned nothing of these fees, they told me the day before closing, either pay all of the addition fees or we will not close the loan. I walked away, complete waste of my time! Find a more reputable lender for your situation.

John1They changed the terms on the loan twice. When I questioned it, they refused to correct it. I had a small delay because of some very serious health issues with my father in law and pregnant wife. When I got back to them, they refused to close the loan until I paid their origination fee up front, on top of the appraisal and $500 good faith payment I had already prepaid. I was still within my commitment period and they refused to close the loan when I refused to give them any more money upfront as well as refund me my good faith payment even though i have proof the mortgage broker told me “nothing is nonrefundable” in writing. Stay away from them (Colleen Caine, the underwriter.......Kevin Vanic, business development officer, and Gary Polao, red star mortgage broker who worked with apex to approve me. I have filed complaints with 4 different agencies, including the BBB and the FDIC because of their parent company Firstrust Bank. Unethical, illegal, and they should be held accountable.

Darrell Henry5Over the years Apex has consistently helped several of our Borrower regain their traction and revive their Business were Local Banks turned them down we ha e many examples of these transaction. We appreciate Apex not only for their ability to see the Value in our Borrowers but as Commercial MTG Broker Shop whom survived the 2008 Financial CRISIS we appreciate the Fact that Apex survived which has allowed for us to Keep the lights on and Stay Encouraged during the darkest of Days. Apex is not only there for the Clients whom can not walk into the Bank and get approved but there for us MTG Brokers whom understand the value of Consistency in the Market we serve.

tiffany robbins1I am like a half of payment behind.. and I’ve been called 7 days ago asking when I can make up the rest of this payment when I just told them that day I mailed 1200.00. Everytime I call u get the same person... same voice mail.. he pushes me to do some remodification thing thru his company to re-evaluate if I can afford my home... pushy people acting like they will work with you..

No Stars should be given!!! i was told they'd have no problem refunding my payment to them since they're the cause of not following through with the loan and they're a million dollar company !!! WOW why couldn't they refund my $750.00 ... they said they would now they're saying well we ordered your title and it was cancelled, no!!!not the case 1st there would be a small fee for cancellation and I'd received the rest 2nd they never ordered the title!!!! clearly this is how APEX GOT TO BE A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY on the backs of people who want to become small business owners and since they're so big they can just take people's money even after admitting they were the cause of the deal going wrong and would fully refund the money..do here's my post next the better business Bureau maybe small claim court . oh yeah I have it in writing the money would be returned and now I'm getting lies and excuses..

jenny hoffstein5I have originated and brokered mortgages for over 30 years. Apex has helped me close some of the most complicated situations, with ease. Recently I had a borrower that shopped for a loan and went to a local depository bank... . After thousands of dollars in fees and reports, accountant letters, and credit reviews, they were denied. They lost four months trying to do it on their own. They came back to me in a panic with lots of anxiety. I knew the borrowers needed to get their loan fast. I took the application to Apex, and closed within weeks... The original banker tried to circumvent me after I had placed the loan with Apex. Apex protected me, as a business partner should, and wouldn't accept a second application presented by the other banker. A nice light industrial loan, for $650,000. The broker fee was paid quickly, and everyone was happy. Unlike most lenders, paperwork is only a small part of the loan. If Apex thinks the loan has merit, then you are more than half way home. They find reasons to say yes. Apex - Portfolio mortgage loans that make sense! Great service, great people, and great results! Note: The rates are not the lowest, but getting denied for the lowest rate is an exercise in futility. Their rates are fair for the risk they take. I get most of my business from referrals ... Happy clients are the source of my existence. For me and my business, rejection is not a satisfactory option.

Candy Low1I wish I could leave a negative 10000! The worst company to work with. I've been in business for 15years and never treated anyone of my clients the way Apex has. The way they jerk people around to Jimmy extra money out of clients is astounding! I can't believe they talk to their clients the way they do and get away with it! In this day and age social media will expose these nasty people.

marie moosbrugger1this company should be ashamed. they ruined our lives in 2013, still trying to regroup, everytime we got a payoff it was more and more. in the end had to sell everything we owned to satisfy them and walk away broken in more ways than one. stay away at all costs!!!

Steve Riedell1Was very happy to pay off my Apex Mortgage early and move on from them! Was not a great relationship! They were very uncooperative in getting information and charged a fee for everything requested! Not to mention their rates are high! Would say use only as last resort!!!!!
