  May 2020 I have thankfully had the pleasure of working with Andrew and him team again. I am more impressed with him and his team every time. He was so helpful during our recent VA ReFi. I won’t use anybody else. He is the best in San Diego. May 2015 Andrew and his team at Benchmark are literally the best in San Diego. Andrew helped us buy a home and it was an outstanding process . I can't say enough about how easy Andrew and his team at Benchmark made everything. He sat down with us and answered a ton of questions, had drafted up a few options for us and broke it down to simple terms. Honest, straight forward and customer service driven. He knows VA loans , He got ours done and closed in under 30 days!, he gave us a ton of options and broke each down so we understood them.   It was a pleasure doing business with Andrew and his team and I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, especially a veteran. Andrew and his staff were professional, personable, clear, and prompt in all our communications and dealings. Our Realtor said Andrew and his team were very easy to work with as well. They worked with us and were very accommodating despite them the distance (they are in California and we are in Texas) and even moved up our closing date by one week. They are a great team!

  Andrew Paul and team were instrumental in the purchase of our dream home with a VA Loan. The entire team comes alongside to explain the different loans available and which one met our budget; short and long term goals. The financing paperwork is crystal clear with the bottom line cost for the mortgage, escrow and what is due at signing. Most importantly I felt Andrew and team were truly my advocate when a realtor tried discouraged us from using a VA Loan, as they felt a VA Loan was not convincing to the seller. There are lots of companies that will line up to loan you money, but Andrew and team are veterans/vet advocates that want to protect their military brothers and sisters.

  If your looking for a VA loan in San Diego, or anywhere for that matter, Benchmark is the place to go. Andrew and his team of professionals couldn't have made the process of getting a VA loan anymore simple. Being a first time home buyer, the new experience was of course daunting. I'm glad we went off the recommendation of one of our realtor friends. From the simple platform to securely submit documents for approval to the availability of his team to answer questions, working with Andrew at Benchmark was so easy. I didn't shop around for a lender at all, but just off of my experience with this lender I'm glad I went with them.

  Andrew and his team were awesome! Most of my communication with the team was with Andrew directly or with Shane via email. I found them to be knowledgeable and quick to respond. Although they are based out of San Diego, they were able to assist me all the way in Virginia with my VA refinance. Even with the 3 hour time difference, they were extremely responsive and helpful. They got me a lower interest rate than Quicken Loans or New Day USA could and they didn't charge me any points! They were thousands cheaper than the other two companies because of this. They kept me updated through every step of the way. I was TDY through much of the refinance process so they drafted a Power of Attorney and worked with my wife to move the process along. Start to finish was about 6 weeks from first contact to money in the bank. I only had to come out of pocket for the VA appraisal. If you are in San Diego, or anywhere for that matter, and need a VA loan, contact Andrew. You won't be disappointed! I

  I would recommend Benchmark Mortgage for anyone who is using the VA loan and purchasing a home in the San Diego area. Andrew and his team were very professional and worked with us under the difficult circumstances of being located in Guam while trying to close on a home. Andrew exceeded all of our expectations and made us feel extremely comfortable during the lending process. As first time homebuyers, the process can be confusing to some, but this was never our experience with Benchmark. Andrew was recommended to us from a family member and based on our experience we would happily recommend Benchmark to our friends and family.
