Jaime Ramirez1I am a current member-STAY AWAY from this credit union. Customer service is horrible, my vehicle loan process has to date been the worst experience ever. They contract services out to third parties and when they make a mistake they expect for you to fix the issue with the third party while failing to take ownership of the issue. They are inconsiderate of the the time you now have to waste fixing an issue that should have never happened in the first place. Here I am four months after my vehicle loan purchase still trying to correct insurance issues for a car I never owned to begin with. PENFED, if you want to contact me, ask allied insurance (CPI) for the account which they charged 183 dollars and to date have not reimbursed the money after several phone calls on my part..

Matthew Pough5My colleague and I went to this location for the first time and the teller was knowledgeable, polite, quick and we was in and out. Great location. In addition, they're doing renovations to the building.

George Garcia1You won’t believe the frustration with the loan process! I applied for a HELOC in the beginning of November; its now February and we haven’t made any process. We’ve placed our lives and businesses on hold during this process and I’m thinking it was a mistake choosing PenFed as my credit union. Ive had 3 loan officers who have never been able to help with the process and can only refer me to a Loan Processor (and ive had three of them too!). This is how it goes: a document is requested, you respond with said document; No answer to emails or phone calls for 2-3 weeks. Then another document is requested and the whole process starts al over again... Ive recently been assigned my third loan processor; who finally answers and appears to be trying to get my loan through the pipeline, but I am being asked for information and documents that were, or should’ve, been requested in November! So disappointing that a credit union wouldn’t be able to provide better service. I’m hoping that someone can resolve these issues and I can adjust my rating.

Dominique Steamer1I have been with this company for five years and they are horrible, charge me for the next month on my loans, wouldn’t give me supervisor callbacks when requested, harassed me about payments but couldn’t ever speak to anyone about the charges.. have me on hold for hours waiting for supervisor.. removed my number from my account and a supervisor told me they would NOT escalate the call past his supervisor.. their customer service is horrible ..

GIL ANONUEVO1BEWARE -- Penfed on MiraMar Road will not offer much help when a loved one passes away. No help offered on paperwork needed, or if it can be expedited by internal office faxing. Worse yet, a large money certificate stuck in limbo. Just no help. Second or third time showing a death certificate. Are you currently retired military or soon to be retired? Are you soon to be a senior citizen? I would think twice before considering this credit union. This location used to be Mira Mar Federal Credit Union, but was turned into PenFed. When my wife was alive, we decided to stay with the transition -- but with my wife gone now, I can see it was a very big mistake.

Evelya Z Rivera1It is nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone; the privacy email link doesn't work; the phone number on the letters' to the do not call is a wrong number and I'm just getting so much junk. On hold forever just to get disconnected. Its certainly a challenge.

Denny Moody10 stars. Literally the worst customer service of my life. I've had a HELOC application pending for months now. My loan processor, Ann Heanue, is impossible to get a hold of and never returns calls or emails. When you call the main number, they just bounce you around to different people, none of whom can actually help. I just spent over an hour trying to get a hold of someone who could actually help me. Complete waste of time. I'm going to apply at a different bank.

Jamie Bird1I'm not a member of this credit union and they won't remove a hard credit inquiry that they put on my report. Been on the phone with them numerous times. They promised to remove it but still haven't done so. Have provided evidence that I never had an account with them. I'm located on the other side of the country and had never even heard of them until their inquiry popped up on my report.
