  I have used Ameris bank for years and I have not had any problems with them. I am satisfied with them, they just need more branches. The staff has always been real nice, helpful & friendly. They were the first bank that had the savings account for minors without you having a checking account first.

  The online application process for opening accounts is easy and everything works just as it should. The fact that Ameris Bank follows up with an actual person who contacts you afterwards is quite reassuring and refreshing.

  Worst experience ever with this bank! My debit card was declined 9/10 times no matter where I went. I spent more time on the phone with their customer service than I did with my family and friends. The tellers at both local branches this one and Stephenson were never helpful. Final straw was when my card was stolen, thousands were spent (apparently debit card worked for them!) and Ameris made me jump through hoops to finally credit my account back.

  all i want to know is if the bank is open on christmas eve and i am now sitting on hold on the phone for 37 mins, giving up for the second time. i moved all of my accounts because of how awful they were to me getting a mortgage and if it wasn't for that payment they WOULD NEVER SEE MY FACE. the worst bank.

  My female Muslim friend was discriminated against by a male notary here. He was fine with helping her until he saw her hijab. Would give zero stars if I could!

  Sorry excuse for a bank. Racist all around do not recommend to do business if your a minority,they will only discriminate against you .
