  I had a great experience with American 1 Credit Union. They were extremely friendly and helpful in assisting me and made me feel like my needs and concerns were a priority.   I was at the Michigan Center branch about a month and half ago and was looking for some help about a loan. I went up to the teller line and asked but they referred me to someone in an office. There was a man sitting in a glass office who literally ignored me needing help, blatantly ignored me (husky, bald and not friendly obviously). The nice young lady told me I had to wait until someone else was available to help me and that I had to wait in my car for a call or to come back at another time, thing is, nobody else was in those offices! I waited awhile and that man never had anyone in his office anyone after 38 mins and I decided to leave for a competitor of yours! (There are windows everywhere in that office , how do you get away with it from your bosses and your members that see you doing absolutely NOTHING) I know I’ve waited a bit to comment but just talked to my friend who had the same treatment at another location and then trying your location. I am so disappointed with your services, I am surprised you guys even have anymore business, I know you won’t have mine anymore!

  Tony Applegate was the rep that handled our loan and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Tony was personable, professional, knowledgeable and his customer service was excellent! He went over and above for us! We will recommend him to others and would definitely do business with him and American 1 CU again!

  I visited the branch on Page Ave and it was the best banking experience I have had with this credit union since I opened my account. I was not only able to sell my car but get a loan for my new car all in the same day. Anthony was great. I would highly recommend this location and these bankers!

  Very professional, and my situation was more complex than a regular transaction. I would recommend a little more communication between the time a transaction is started and when it's finalized. I was kind of left in the dark regarding where the process was. Otherwise a very good experience.

  Great experience. Loan advisors helped us shop by getting us a preapproval so that we knew better what to look for. It gave us confidence to pick the car we wanted, and the process was made easy to finalize the deal. It also felt good to deal with local people face to face when making this big a commitment.

  I called with a difficult situation, no longer having access to the email or phone number attached to my account. Meghan Lorencen was very patient, kept a positive upbeat tone and did everything in her power to help me recover my account successfully and with no stress at all. I've never been disappointed by this branch.
