  My debit card number was stolen on a Saturday while I was working out of town and it has taken two weeks for them to get me a replacement. TWO WEEKs without any access to my own money. Keep searching for different bank because Chase took two nights when it happened with them. It’s embarrassing having to explain to people why I still need to borrow money two weeks after my card was shut down.

  I have been a member for a very long time. I checked my balance the other day and it said I had an available balance. I withdrew said balance because it showed it was available. Ling story short, 4 very small charge that had mysteriously not gone through yet that totaled $11.02 gave me for $25.00 over draft fees. So I find that more than a quarter of of paycheck is owed for $11.02. Taking my business elsewhere.

  Aaron was extremely friendly and helpful. He is a great example of why I handle my finances with a credit union and not a bank. I left with my questions answered and my business handled.

  Got 2 loans thru American 1 and both loans were quick and easy. Aaron Delaney was awesome to work with and was very up front. Will be back no questions asked

  I was upset that I had to pay for a representative payee account! The cost was only $3.00, it's the principle of the situation. Other than that, great service from Aaron, today and excellent service from Lynn before today!

  American One on the eastside is great!! They are caring and not rude at all. Now the one on Wisner is a whole another story!! Everytime I go there the tellers are RUDE!! ESPECIALLY today, I tried cashing a check from my mother for $20 which she banks there too, and because I didn't want to deposit money into my savings account they wouldn't cash the check!! And to top it off the teller was unbelievable rude when I said I was in a hurry to get my daughter from school!!

  They do not report installment loans to any of the 3 credit bureaus. So I got a great rate on a loan for my speed boat but my credit is no better off. I should have stuck with a real bank on this one....

We do report to Experian, and our lending manager is looking into reporting to other credit bureaus as we speak, but it is an expense to the credit union, therefore the membership, so we have to consider it carefully to make sure it makes financial sense.
