Achieva Credit Union Reviews

Heather Ware5I've only ever had good experiences here in the 2 years I've been banking with them. The tellers are always nice, the waits are seldom very long, and the one time I had an issue, customer support was lovely and very helpful. They even made the loan application process fairly easy and gave a good rate, so I'd definitely recommend them!

Timothy Macking5Local community bank offering the typical services that you would expect. It’s in a convenient location and offers good security and peace of mind both inside and out. The bank tellers are very nice and cordial. I’m happy with their services overall. If they had no fee checking I’d never leave.

Tracy Meeks5Achieve CU is the best bank I know of. I've been with them for about 30 years now & have never had a problem or issue with my banking there. All employees are very nice & know how to answer your questions or will find out in a timely manner. I'll stay with them as long as there open.

Sunsets PalmTrees1I am 31 years old and have had an account with this bank since I was 16. Went to this location today to close out a joint account and their lobby was closed at 4:30pm even though they close at 5pm. I hate them so much for various other reasons that would take me too much time to mention in this review. I finally switched over to Chase. Screw this bank.

Luke Moorefield1Randomly imposing a mask mandate in August of 2021, kicked me out of the bank and would not allow a simple cash deposit. The door only said mask recommended. May find a new bank.

Elsie Gilmore5I had a fantastic experience last week obtaining a vehicle loan from Achieva. The online application process was really easy, and I was approved instantly. They even lowered the rate once they had the final details of the loan. All employees I spoke with on the phone were friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience!

Aaron Parker1I used to think Bank of America was the worst. New worst Achieva. I made a huge mistake taking out a small personal loan with them. They don't work with you, poor customers service and their fee are outrageous. I count down the months till I am done with then and will never be in their grasp again.

Michael Mavro1I've been an Achieva Credit Union customer for many years. I have a business account. (s corp, account was set up under the companies Fed Id number) Business credit card, personal checking, savings and car loan. In February I had to close my business after 13 years. I've been trying to keep up with my business card payments. Last payment was May. I also had a payment hit my business account when it had a .05 balance. Achieva paid the item. That threw the account into a negative balance. I immediately went to the branch and spoke with them, a couple weeks ago. I let them know that I currently can't pay them. I'm unemployed and looking for a job. Which I just started. Today Brenda Thompson from Achieva called my new job. She found my place of employment from social media. I went into the branch and spoke with them about the situation. I'm not familiar with the person I spoke to. I should have gotten her name. I told her that I didn't want anyone contacting my employer. She verified my personal number and email. Then went on to tell me that this business card and business account were going to go against my personal credit. This ensued into a argumentative discussion about Corporate and Personal finances. She was threatening my personal checking account for the corporate debt. I was not happy went I left, she said I'm writing all this in the notes. Again I said I don't want anyone contacting my employer. I returned later to close my personal account ,spoke to a person I've dealt with for years. Looking at my account he said he needed to speak with the branch manager. In the managers office I was told that they were taking all the money out of my personal checking to pay the towards what the company owed. The person, I had the heated discussion to earlier. Told Acheiva lost prevention that I didn't want them contacting me and I wasn't paying them anything. In the end I was forced to make a payment or have all the money taken out of my personal account. After making the payment I was left with about $78 dollars in my personal account. I'm not sure what I'm doing about food or gas for the next few weeks. Something that my friendly Acheiva Credit Union didn't even care about. Beware if you have a personal account and corporate business account with Acheiva. You are not personally protected!!!! #Acheiva #Acheivacreditunion

mareth reum1Worst experience. My husband and I are closing on a house this week and as directed went to the bank two days prior to closing (we went on Monday) to do the necessary wire transfer. At the time it seemed like a smooth and easy process. We were assured the wire was submitted, we were good to go and the wire will be to our title company within 30 minutes. It is now Tuesday and the title company and mortgage firm are emailing and calling wanting to know if we sent the wire because they have not received anything yet. We had to again take time off work to go to the bank to see what the issue was. As it turns out the manager working that day (I believe his name is Jim) left our wire, unsigned on his desk and went home for the day. Due to this, we may need to push the closing on our new house back until everything is sorted out. I will never bank at Achieva or recommend them to anyone due to the obvious lack of customer service.

Andy Savenok1They won’t give you a mortgage if you have 4 or more mortgages. I told the banker that means that if I’m a successful real estate investor, they won’t work with me. And he said, yes, you can look it at that way. This bank punishes successful people. They should write this silly rule on their website so successful investors don’t waste their time.
