  An extremely terrible experience. This company has been working on a simple refinance for the last five months. Asked for the same information multiple times as deadlines expired. Then they add it in penalties for the length of time that the refi would take. Then I get an email simply stating I would be best to go elsewhere. In the meantime I waste multiple months and hours of effort putting information together. By their own admission it was a ridiculous experience. Stay away!

  This is the most amazing team of people. Matt Hickman was really nice and professional to me when I ran into him one day looking for my lender. I worked with Ellen Briggs, who is such a great woman. I had to get my score up a few points and she gave me advice on what to do and patiently waited for me to be where I was supposed to be. She went above and beyond to make sure I knew the process and made it to closing on my home. She made sure I had all the correct paperwork and did everything in a timely manner. She responded to all my questions and emails very promptly. She was extremely personable and it felt like she was more than "just" my lender. I couldn't be more grateful for such a great group of professionals.

  Alex was awesome to work with. He was very knowledgeable and was fun to work with. Whenever I had a question about the mortgage, whether it be late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, he was always available to answer my questions, both me and my wife enjoyed working with Alex. Customer service is a big deal to me and Alex scored an A+ in that category.

  Overall, a great experience! The team was very friendly and helpful. The team communicated with us very well and answered all of our questions and kept us updated on every step of the process. Buying a home is never easy but they made the process go very smoothly. I would absolutely use Academy again in the future!

  This is my sixth home loan experience and it was also the best experience thus far. Rock was personable and completed all my paperwork in a timely manner. Teresa also helped process my loan, she was consistent and ensured that I had the correct documents necessary to move my loan to the next step. This enabled my loan to be processed without delay. I especially liked the new Academy Mortgage App. I was able to scan my recent pay stubs and submit them. This eliminated the extra step of faxing or stopping by the office. Additionally, there were no surprises at closing and everything went through exactly like it was envisioned. I was able to close on time and would definitely recommend Academy Mortgage to my family and friends. Thank you!

  Matt and his team were overall helpful in helping us get our mortgage. They helped us find an option for funding for our unique situation, as were Canadians. The only thing they could have done to make the experience even better would be to give us the locked in mortgage rate sooner. Matt went to bat for us to get us the rate he could though.
