  If you are looking for an agent that will immediately make you feel comfortable about your loan type, rate, fees, or just how great it is to live in Montrose or the Western Slope, Eric is the guy. Our loan process went super smooth and as first time home buyers we definitely needed some hand holding. Eric was patient and knowledgeable about every step of the process. Before setting on using Eric and Academy Mortgage, we investigated getting a loan through one of the country's largest online mortgage lender. We are so glad we did not go that route. If jumping through hoops is your thing then by all means keep looking. But if you are wanting a no-hassle experience and would like someone you can put your confidence to get the job done, then Eric is who you should call. (His loan processor Blanca is fabulous too.) I worked in the mortgage lending sector many years ago so I know from experience what makes a great loan agent. Eric has all those qualities and them some!

  My husband and I were recommended Academy Mortgage by a friend. From the beginning, Eric Mott was extremely helpful answering all our questions and concerns. Both Eric, and Blanca Gonzalez (loan processor) answered our emails immediately and made themselves very available by phone. We worked on tight deadlines with a 2.5 week overseas travel, but Eric and Blanca made it all happen without much stress. The closing documents were very thorough and clean, even our Closing Agent commented on that. We are very satisfied with our experience with Academy Mortgage. Thank you very much for making our first home purchase seamless!

  I have experienced excellent, and professional mortgage care through Academy Mortgage in Montrose and specifically with Jake Mott. I don't recall this high level of help and financial guidance from any other business in order to secure my home for my retirement years. I received specific guidance relative to our home insurance coverage and the equity that we have built up. My options are now such that I can make clear and effective choices. What a comfort!

  I had the best experience working with the entire team at academy mortgage. My loan was difficult and had a lot of moving parts. Eric found a way to work it all together. We are so thrilled that we closed on time and everything went off without a hitch.

  Eric Mott was so great at seeing me through from poor-credit/renter extraordinaire to first time home-owner! He worked with me for over a year to mend my credit, create good credit habits, and to see that it was within my sphere to be able to actually purchase a home! I didn't feel like I was talking to "a bank", but to REAL people who understood REAL people trying to get a home. I enjoyed the entire experience! Very personalized.
