  I have waited over a year to do this review. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't emotional. My wife and I used Academy mortgage for our home loan. We were in a difficult situation due to me being in the military and stationed on the east coast. A lot of information had to be faxed or emailed. We had a horrible experience with Academy Mortgage. Our agent was absolutely worst at responding to us. She almost never responded to her voice mail and even email. It was my first home loan and it was not "smooth" at all. We did get the loan, but I would never use them again! They sold our loan before we ever made the first payment! I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

  Judy was amazing at answering any of my questions or concerns throughout my buying experience. When I first started looking for a home, I was unsure on exactly what I was looking for but that did not matter to Judy. Judy took the time and effort to ensure I understood my buying options and answer any questions or concerns I had along the way. Judy also periodically checked for the best programs available to me over the time I was looking for a home. I would recommend anyone to Judy when looking for a home. :-)

  I have worked with several different mortgage companies, but Academy Mortgage is the best one I’ve seen. Steve Macey was amazing and easy to work with. I have never met a mortgage person ever in my life that has met, even exceeded, my expectations, and this is my 12th loan process. Steve is thorough, he always fills you in with every detail, and you won’t have any questions after you talk to him. You are fully satisfied and you are just waiting for the next step. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home or refinance.

  We were first time homebuyers and had NO idea what we were doing, or needed or ANYTHING! We went in and had one meeting with Judy and she laid it all out in simple form so we understood the process of how everything was going to work. Not even a week later, we were pre-approved and sat down for 20 minutes with our realtor (Judy's husband) and ended up finding a home, looking at it and putting in an offer all in less than five hours!! The process was quick, but had some humps and Judy worked 24/7 trying to help us, communicate with us, and find any way she could to make it easier on us!! At the end of the experience, Judy found us a killer deal, our realtor helped tons and my parents, family, and friends are still in shock a year later at the deal we got for our first home! This would not have been possible without the care, diligence, and brains that make up Judy Woods

  Susan Dunfee was amazing to work with, she was helpful and insightful and full of knowledge to help along the way in buying our house. Between her and the realtor all our questions were always answered. She is so sweet and genuinely cares about her job and loan applicants. I would highly recommend her to friends and family looking to buy in the future!

  Polite and very professional. She was very good at getting back to us with answers to questions we asked. She helped us a lot in every way possible, including copies, faxes, use if her computer to access Internet service for documents we needed for our loan. Overall we think she did go beyond that extra mile helping us. Very thankful we got to work with her.
