  Just officially closed my account I couldn't be happier. Financial freedom they made it very hard to close my account they wouldn't let me pay charges over the phone. These guys are a hassle with everything. No more over draft charges while opted out. No more charges for my monthly bank statements. no more service fees. These guys clearly have a long way to go to become a REAL bank!!!!

  If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Multiple occasions of rudeness from the unprofessional staff. Staff clearly not trained well enough to understand how to open a joint checking only account for two customers who already have 6 accounts between them. Wait time for their call center since no actual number is the provided for branches is over an hour. Just to be hung up on when you start to explain why you're calling. It's very clear none of the employees who work for Academy Bank want to do their job or really understand how to do it at all. Please don't allow these people to handle your finances because it's clear they don't know what they're doing.
