  Pros-very modern website to upload documents, submit electronic signatures, has option to drop off taxes or do in person Cons- I wouldn’t recommend to a friend as it was hard to get Darren to return my call after my appointment was booked. I ultimately cancelled my appointment because when I did get him on the phone he was very short and provided one word answers. I got the feeling he couldn’t be bothered. Maybe it was a feeling of being overwhelmed, I’m not sure, but as a first timer getting my taxes done I was looking for a different experience.

  The service for the 2022 tax season was terrible. We started the process of filling the taxes with them in early March and without any prior communication they completely and unilaterally filled an extension and failed to do their job. The only email we received was a mass email to all the customers the following, I quote: "PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST AN UPDATE ON YOUR STATUS AS THIS WILL ONLY TAKE AWAY MY TIME TO PREPARE RETURNS." Upper case and everything. Extremely unprofessional.

  I have had family members come here for years and given the ambiguity and changes in tax laws, I really wanted to get mine professionally done for the 2020 tax year. It was an incredibly quick process (in and out in under 20 minutes) and Darren was professional, responsive, and honest throughout the process. The price for my tax prep, which was basic, was more than fair for the convenient appointment time and quickness of it, let alone it also being an informative tax prep service as well. I appreciated the fact everything was explained to me clearly and explicitly. It made me feel like I had a better understanding of the entire process and will likely help me make other financial decisions in the future. Will definitely be referring people to Acade when possible and will be returning next year.

  Yesterday I went and completed my taxes with Darren. I was really blown away by his professionalism and great attitude. He was also very precise and efficient. If you need your taxes done by someone who knows exactly what they are doing.... Darren is your guy! Please book your an appointment with him because you will not be disappointed. Oh and lastly he has a client portal where you can always go back and retrieve your taxes!!!!!!!!!!

  This is my second year utilizing Darren’s tax services and I can’t thank him enough for making it such a simple process. He’s always been extremely helpful and I would recommend him to anyone that asked - Navigating self-employment taxes can be a bit daunting at first, but Darren has made it super easy and straightforward the last 2 years.   I love Darren's quality and attention to detail. He is very knowledge, very responsive, and has a personal connection with you making sure you do your taxes on time, and sends reminders. Definitely hassle free and highly recommended. But unfortunately he is more expensive than other tax competitors I've had. He is top dollar and deserves it, but I can't continue to afford his services. He does have an amazing offering where if you refer clients to him, he'll offer $50 for each referral.

  My first time filing with Darren this year. He's very professional and experienced. Didn't get that "rushed" feeling like I would normally get at H&R Block.. If you want your taxes done right at a fair and reasonable price, Darren is your guy!

  Have gone to Acade (Darren) now for two years. Darren is very knowledgeable, helpful and beyond efficient with tax preparation. I was in a situation where I really needed a professional to take a look at my filing and give me some reassurance on my financials. I am so glad I found Acade, as I always walk away feeling very secure about the filing and Darren is excellent with any questions or follow up you may require. Highly recommended.
