You can call this bank, quite literally, a local institution, but they have just fallen completely behind the times. I encountered management and low level personnel at a few of the branches that were rude, grossly incompetent and completely uninformed. I even received a call from one of them admitting they were unequivocally wrong regarding an incident at the Erie Blvd. branch when they totally obstructed me from making a transaction. I can only believe this idiotic conduct and their archaic technical infrastructure is allowed to exist because of abject failure at the top. I think they rely on long-time customers that innocently don't know any better and are content with doing business like they did in the 40's. Don't get me wrong, there are some people working there that are doing their best within such limiting parameters; they're friendly, outgoing, personable and are willing and able to help. They would get five stars, if I could rate them independently. The President and CEO, and local branch managers receive zero stars because they are ultimately responsible.

I have banked with this company for over 15 years. Checking, savings, car loans, mortgages, etc. First, their customer service has Always been stellar. When I call, a person answers the phone; no prompts, no run arounds, and they resolve my questions or concerns every time. Second, let's go back to the 2008 housing crisis. This bank didn't have trouble like all the others....why? Because they didn't give out "bad mortgages" like the other big corporate banks. Bottom line: "Sometimes you want to go where everbody knows your name, and they're always glad you came."

I've never had a bad experience with this bank. We've used them for years. No crazy penalty fees and local bank with tellers who recognize and know who you are. Just took out a car loan with them and there is no penalty fee for paying it off early.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for your kind words. We always enjoy hearing from our customers.

Business account holder since 2016. Had over $8,500 in fraudulent credit card charges from 8/31/19 - 9/4/19. The bank refused to cover anything. Additionally when I requested the Terms and Conditions/Agreement for my credit card, they denied it. They said "you are responsible for keeping the original copy of the agreement". I was wrong to assume a small, local bank would have my back in a situation like this. I will be fighting this, and will be taking legal action. Please do not be fooled by their false "values" and "mission statement".

Don't do business with his scam Bank it should be shut down. Especially when it comes to scam Foggs Automotive in Scotia. Steer clear of both. Banks used to care now they don't care if you die on the road as long as they can get some kind of fee out of it.

Outrageous fees, half-hearted customer service. Made an error entering account information in online portal while making a payment, and was not told until after the grace period, resulting in $70 in fees. Why doesn't the portal tell you there is an error like any other online payment system? I think it's easier and more lucrative to levy fees than fix this flaw.

      Response from the owner

Aaron, We are always seeking ways to improve, would you be willing to enlighten us on your experience?

This bank is the worst they have been taking A fee out of my account for months without telling me, and they never did tell me that this was going to happen before I open the account. This bank is incompetent at effectively informing their customers.

Horrible customer service, they couldn't care less about your needs or what matters to you, the managers are seriously the worst I've ever experienced, don't be fooled into thinking it's a local bank who actually cares about their customers, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, you have been warned
