Kody Martin1They don’t allow you to pay your credit cards on line. They make you call in and then charge you a fee for paying over the phone. All around not a great credit union.

lori french5I love this credit union. I am so glad I said goodbye to banks. The staff is AWESOME and so friendly. Always greet me by name. I wish deposits would post a little sooner on the day they should but the good outweighs that little inconvenience. Highly recommend this credit union for all your needs.

Michele Nelson5Best banking experience !! They know how to take care of their customers. I wish I knew of them sooner. I wasted SO much time at other "banking institutions" where they charged fees. Well not anymore. These wonderful people want you to succeed financially and they are very helpful in getting you where you want to be.

Chris Hasley3I wanted to support my local credit union, but it didn't work out for me (not any fault of the credit union). The staff was always helpful and friendly - especially during the initial shutdown due the pandemic. I ended up closing my account for personal reasons, but sadly now I'm getting a lot of junk mail from third party companies that (I guess) buy member information from the credit union. I realize the member is given the option to opt-out of information sharing with third party affiliates, and I thought I had opted-out of that, but apparently either I didn't or my request wasn't received/honored. It's really sad because I have a checking account at a large national bank, and I would absolutely expect the large guys to sell my data before my local bank or local credit union, but in this case it was the local credit union that shared my information. I just shred the unsolicited mail when I receive them vs calling the credit union and dealing with that process. It's just sad this is allowed by default. In 2020, there are so many data privacy concerns, and there seems to be some sort of data breach often... the member should have to opt-in (not opt-out) of sharing their information with anyone other than the credit union. Be careful and consider this when you open your account. Otherwise, great group of folks at 1st MidAmerica!

Sherrie Ford5Been banking and doing business here for over 20 years never had any problems. Customer service is always 5 star. Everyone is very attentive to the customers. It's never a long wait if at all and if there are any issues they make sure they resolve them. Love banking here!!!!!

Darnell2Completely dismissive and unhelpful both times I came in. Would not help me withdrawal my money in excess of 500$ from my account to purchase a home. Drove 5 miles up the road to a different credit Union and they helped me in less than 5 minutes

Sarah Blattel3Overall a good bank. My one complaint is that the ATM gives you the option to deposit cash or checks and it never works. I would find it more convenient if they actually made this available.
