  I never thought we could afford buying a home, even though we had great jobs! Prior to 101, we tried to qualify for a home, was denied and was told that we had to work on a few things: our credit score (it wasn’t strong enough because of student loan debt) and we needed a larger Downpayment (so we got strict and saved $24k in a year). Even after saving, I was scared to pay a monthly mortgage because we would’ve been “house poor”, since most of our money was still going to debt. When 101 was introduced to us, we did our research (watched a presentation, read the testimonials, asked questions to our instructor) and decided to enroll. It was the BEST FINANCIAL DECISION we’ve ever made! Not only did we pay off $86k of debt in 1.5years, but we became first-time homeowners 3 months after paying off that debt! Our credit scores went up to the high 780s! If you’re looking into 101, do your own research like we did (watch a presentation, google them, read/watch the testimonials), then make your decision. I love how we learned how to use our money smarter and more effectively. 6 years later, we’re still living the 101 way and we’re never going back!

  My husband Kristopher and I have been on 101 Financial since 2012. My husband actually filed for bankruptcy in 2011 right before a family member told us about 101. Thankfully even after filing for bankruptcy we managed to pay off over 60k of debt within the first year and a half . It boosted my husband and I credit scores to then qualify for our first home. In 2015 we purchased our home and in 2017 when I got pregnant with my son I was able to stay home and be with him and leave my full time job. Amazingly even after being on one income in 2018 we were able to pay off our conventional mortgage . 101 Financial has helped us tremendously. It’s helped my husband and I get on the same page and although there were times we’ve fallen off we are so glad 101 gave us the tools to get back on track again. We think back to 7years who and wonder why we didn’t hear about this sooner ! To this day my parents and most of my family members continue to use the 101 banking system also. Couldn’t picture our lives without the tools and education 101 has given us .

  The mission of this company is amazing. It is very rare for organizations to truly care about people. I have met some amazing individuals that just want to help people get to a better place financially.   “Work hard and save your money.” I felt that was enough to succeed in life. When things weren’t going the way I had hoped and our accounts weren’t really moving in the direction we wanted it to, we decided it was time to look for MORE. 101 financial provided us with the education, strategies, and one on one personalization we needed to MAKE IT. In our first class, I was amazed by the strategies I had learned. I had never thought about running our personal finances in that way. Pinterest and DIY spreadsheets were deleted immediately. Not only did we accomplish our goals of improving our credit and paying debt quickly, the true wealth comes in the knowledge I have gained from Alan Akina and his instructors.   It is all about your instructor. We started off on a rocky foot with 101 Financial a few years ago. At the beginning, we worked with a couple of instructors that did not fully teach us all the methods of 101 Financial. After two years, we recently reconnected with a new instructor that was incredible. Monica taught us all about the system and how it can work to accelerate your mortgage payoff. She answered all of our questions and taught us more about what 101 Financial has to offer in terms of building wealth, investing in real estate, and more. She taught us the advanced strategies that we really wanted to know about. 101 Financial is not the right fit for everyone, but if you want to payoff your mortgage or large amounts of debt, the concepts they teach you will help you get there faster. I wish we had connected with Monica sooner because she would have taught us almost everything we needed to know to accelerate our personal finance journey but instead we learned it on our own in the meantime when we were without an instructor. At the beginning, we were oversold on what they were promising to teach us. We felt we were promised lifelong learning, coaching, and mentorship for finances. Initially, our instructor spent a few weeks teaching us the basics and left us to figure it out going forward. When we first started, it seemed they were possibly going through some growing pains. We went years without hearing from an instructor and eventually stopped following the system because it no longer met our goals with what we had learned about personal finance. We initially left a one star review but they have gone out of their way to ensure that we had a good experience and that we fully understand their system. It has been a journey with 101 Financial but all in all, we have learned a lot from our experience with the company.
