  Sorry to say this bank is all about service fees, transaction fees. ATM fees. My new bank has none of these. Then there is the issue of their new bank machines, in an attempt to do all your banking needs without the personal touch of a teller, they have installed new machines that copy your check to be deposited incorrectly. Example I entered a clearly written check for $49,57 and the machine read it as $449.57. You are supposed to be able to run multiple checks to be deposited at one time but I did not look at every check to see if it was correct on every check. I had put way to much faith in their machine. This error somehow caused a service fee charge due to a teller trying to correct the issue. Another time after bank hours, at the same middle machine I requested a $40.00 withdraw and the machine only gave me $35.00. This was witnessed by three other individuals. This was very embarrassing but I thought there would be no problem reporting the issue. I brought the error to the attention of a teller the next time I was at the store where the the bank is located. I received a letter saying in so many word that no error was found and that I was out the five dollars. Woodforest Bank had just ripped me off! I immediately went to this bank and requested to talk to the manager. Only the assistant manager was on duty so I explained the issue and he told me he would resubmit my request. Two weeks later I get a letter stating they had refunded my money but that $5.00 was credited to my account due to another Woodforest banking error, so guess what... they did not return my money. This proves they will lie or cover up a disputed transaction. I also don't like how they send you a letter and it's always signed as a team not the person doing the actual investigation if any has been performed. When I see the manager he always runs off in a different direction out into the store. I have no recourse but to report this along with my witnesses to our local police department. If you have been victimized by this bank like I have please report it to the authorities.

  Literally standing here watching a teller chewing gum like a cow for the last 30 minutes on the banking floor while my husband opened an account. The new banking setup is ridiculous. It's all open air. So while I'm here watching the teller chew cud, the other teller is on the phone reading the riot act to another client about their overdrawn account. I now know intimate details about her spending habit. Then I had to physically step between the teller opening my husband's account and another client who was craning her neck to see the screen our teller was setting up our account on.

  This bank is the biggest scam ever the staff is not blame but the owner of the bank is must be ashamed of him self giving this hard time to their customers and they always find a way to charge for something I am a truck driver my job has more than 10 days my job been trying to send me money through Zelle and they tried it through cash app but the bank is not approving the transaction and they tried it many time through the ACH but still nothing only one transaction worked after 10 days in the 10 days IRS took money out of my account the bank put account in negative so they can charge me overdraft fees I told them to allow my company,s transfer happen so I don’t need to pay the overdraft fees finally I came to my company office they gave me a check I went there to deposit it they said it will take at least 7 days for the check to process I searched the ceo of this bank on tweeter so I can right him all of this but he dosent have any tweeter account because he knows that he is scamming his customers and mentally keeping them like inmates may God gives cancer to all of the family of the Woodforest national bank CEO please everybody say Ameen

  This place seems like a scam. Seriously check out the fees before banking here. Feels like they go after Walmart employees specifically and charge them high fees to bank there. There's a Chase and Bank of America down the street. Much better options.
