  I find it surprising that someone called the staff snooty. I have never met a more lovely group of people working in one store. I came in to sell jewelry and was offered more there than in the 4 other stores that I had price checked. I ended up buying a beautiful necklace with the money that I received from the sale of my jewelry. Their selection is unbelievable and, again, to contradict the previous review, nothing is old or crappy.I would recommend this store without hesitation!!! Thanks for a great experience!

  Came here a few times recently (recommended by a friend) and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My most recent visit was to have a ring resized urgently and they were able to get it done within days when others said it would take weeks. Never looking elsewhere, they earned a customer for life!

  Bait and switch - I called for a price on a 100-ounce silver bar to sell them, they said $1,500. When I get to the store (30 minutes later) they tell me they can only give me $1,460 because "it's not from the company they assumed it would be from." The bar is pure silver; the company is irrelevant and was never discussed on the phone. Then they act like they're doing me a favor and offer me $1,480. I had to accept because I needed the cash today. They knew what they were doing. They lied to me and took advantage of the situation to make an extra 20 dollars.

  When you initially called the store and asked for a price quote to sell your silver bar, you were quoted a price on a 100 oz Engelhard bar. When you arrived in the store with your bar it was not an Engelhard as we had quoted but, in fact, an "off-brand" bar and therefore not the same price you had been quoted. When we explained this to you and you clearly became agitated, we immediately apologized for the miscommunication and explained you were under no obligation to sell the bar and we even suggested some other nearby locations where you could try to sell your bar. None of these options were acceptable to you. We are sorry for the miscommunication and your unpleasant experience. We would never deliberately mislead any of our customers. We have build our 50 year reputation on not only the best prices but also our integrity.

  Bought an engagement ring and a wedding band as well as my wedding band there all on separate occasions 2/3 poor experiences... Engagement ring had a diamond missing off the side of the band that. And my wedding band was sized for my finger and I got it and it was hugee... Size 9 went back and they resized saying I needed an 8.5... Got the ring and it was huge again.... Finally repeat one more time. My finger is a 7 3/4 finally fits. No real apology or accommodation on made by the staff just "sorry ull have to come back" on each occasion. I lived 40 mins away and went here based on a friends recommendation... I do not recommend this place far to many mistakes and few apologies when I spent well over $10,000

  The diamond was perfect. It went very smooth through the hole process. My soon to be wife was thrilled, excited , surprised and loved the diamond.

  whitman coin and jewelry has been around for years and for the life of me i cannot figure out why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aside from being snooty nasty people who work there they sell there crap jewelry and ridiculous prices and at the same time do everything aside from beating you up to offer you nothing for what you bring in to them to maybe sell or pawn do yourrself a favor and drive on by you can go just about ANYWHERE else and get beter cheaper jewelry. As fas as looking to sell gold one of the worst in the town as far as $$$ PER PWT hope this saves someone the grief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
