Throughout the entire process they provided excellent customer service, timely information, and clear answers to the multiple questions that arose as the process moved along.   We have now done two home loans with WaFd. Both experiences were excellent. The most recent loan (July 2020) was at an extremely busy time for the branch despite COVID-19. I think everyone in the world was refinancing or buying a home at that time. That said, Cherrie and Korin were fantastic. They always let me know what was going on and communicated clearly. They were patient with us as we navigated the buying vs building debate and helped steer us to the right loan. We made a lot of changes along the way, and they were kind despite how much extra work it likely created behind the scenes. They made it really look effortless. If I ever buy a home again, I will definitely return to the team at WaFd.

  The team at the Sequim branch of Washington Federal Bank was fantastic to work with throughout our land loan and our construction loan, both very complicated. They were highly recommended by our home materials supplier, Linwood Homes. They allowed my husband and me to serve as owener-builders for the project, which is rare and very much appreciated as it allows us to be in full control and save money. They were extraordinarily professional and always quick to respond to our questions, and even sent us a sympathy card when our elderly dog passed away. I recommend this bank without reservation.

  This bank sold us on a construction loan. By the time we were too far into the process they quit wanting to help us. I now have to do the job I paid them a lot of money (over $12,000) to do. They won’t pay out on the loan because I don’t have stairs up yet. I have ladders, but they hire inspectors who can’t climb ladders....on a construction site. They can’t communicate enough when there’s an issue to be able to resolve any problems. It is all up to you to read minds, know their job and anticipate any issues that may arise. And this is just the current problem. Don’t get me started on on how we’ve been treated and what we’ve had to deal with to get to this state....

  Called to speak to a loan officer - was told it would be a week before they could schedule me - just for a phone call. Waited a week - they tried to call me but the call came through with no caller ID and reported to be an international number - so, I didn't know it was them and didn't pick up. I received the voicemail about 30 minutes later and called back - was told I would have to reschedule and that it would be more than a week. Sorry, but that is just pitiful customer service all the way around. I will find another bank to deal with.

  We worked with this bank to secure a construction loan which ultimately converted to a home loan once construction was complete. They are fantastic to work with. At the time of securing our loan, they had one of the best rates in the area. All of the employees are extremely knowledgeable and would highly recommend them based on our experiences.

  I had the pleasure working with Washington Federal in building my dream home. I secured a construction load that converted to a home loan once the home was built. The application process was easy. The Sequim branch staff are fantastic. They are easy to work with, are friendly and knowledgeable. I am very happy with the services I received.
