  2nd time dealing with fraudulent transactions on my debit card. The Duncan location no longer has office hours, drive through only. Went to the Ashville Hwy location and the customer service agent picked at her face and wig the whole conversation, there were pieces of glue on the table. The rep refused to help with the fraudulent transaction. She called the company that charged us in error and stated "they don't have an account with you". Obviously we do not use the company that charged us fraudulently, that's the literal reason we are in the bank to report the charges! Worst customer service experience. We will be closing our account and switching to another bank.

  Been open with Vital Federal Credit Union since April 23,2021 got no problem with them with the Duncan place soon to be close on July 18,2022 it going to be hard for me to drive from BMW plant to Asheville Highway to get some cash out from the ATM.

  As a credit union it’s good but this branch is not friendly at all for now on I will be going to the Duncan branch I took some rolls of coin in to deposit and a check in to deposit the trailer said that I would have to put the coin in the machine I finished setting the coin up so I could hand the check over to her she grabs the coin and takes it to the machine and I hear the trailer next to her say and he still set the coin up there the trailer said right. How rude to talk about your customers.

  Penny O' Shields goes so far beyond what should be asked. Knowing that I work across town she will have my transactions waiting for me when needed. She will keep me in the loop when needed and ALWAYS ALWAYS calls and/or emails back within a few hours. I never have to worry when working with her. You are a Rock Star to the 10th degree

  I've been with Vital since I was a teenager and I have had nothing but good experiences with the Asheville Hwy Branch. Penny O'Shields has helped with all of my auto loans, and personal loans I have gotten and I have been nothing short of satisfied with her customer service and expertise throughout the process every time.   I absolutely LOVE this credit union! I have been a member for 13 years now and have not even one bad thing to say about them. The staff is very personable. Whenever I go in most of them know me by name and they always ask how my son is doing. I work with animals so I always have at least one dog with me in the mornings if have to stop on my way to work. Whenever I go through the drive-through they always ask “how many dogs do you have with you today“ so they can send the right amount of dog treats to the car 😊! Don’t form an opinion based on a few bad reviews by those just wanting to complain because THEY were probably having a bad day at the time. Go in and check these wonderful people out for yourselves!

  I just want to say that Kellie Leonard has been amazing, I wish I could give this 6 stars. Me and my husband are looking for a new car and she has been so calm and reassuring and just amazing. If you ever need a good loan officer (from I have experienced myself anyway) please go to Kellie Leonard or Marilyn Smith. I am sure the other officers are just as good too. They are fantastic!

  I have been banking here since 1991. I have done ALL of my car loans through them. I went to the Duncan branch to see about a car loan, (6/17/19) well on my credit report someone has decided to open credit cards under my name! I was not aware until they checked my credit. I explained to them that I did not open these and I was in the process of disputing it while sitting there. THEY SAID THE BEST RATE I COULD GET WAS 8%, because of this. so I asked to speak with the branch manager Omero he REFUSED to talk with me !. He was busy ! Seriously I have been banking her since 1991 and you can't find the time to talk with me about the problem!!! Not to mention I currently have a car loan with them, they can see the payment is paid religiously. I will be changing my banks as soon as the car loan is completed. The credit union has had to much turn over and the people that are being hired for loans etc are horrible ! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED HERE !

  I appreciate the quick friendly response I receive every time I visit Vital. I rate the staff there as excellent. I like the atmosphere and the service demonstrated by the staff. Service has always been quick and friendly by all staff. They act in a professional manner and are still friendly. They make you feel welcome and they appreciate your business.
