Dennis McNece5The Virginia Credit Union in Colonial Heights is awesome. The employees are very friendly and professional. They're always willing to help. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to bank.

Mika Allen1Friday Oct 9, My sister went to this bank to deposit cash into my account and my car payment is due Oct 13. They informed her that they needed to scan her ID for her to deposit Cash into my account. Its not a law when you are depositing cash into someone's account you do not need to show or have ID. I am ashamed at the treatment you showed to a customer of 3 years and I will not recommend Virginia credit union to anyone I know. I wish i could give zero stars

Shannon1Just to clarify on behalf of the other customers, the wait time for this location's drive thru has ALWAYS been insane, WELL before Covid. This branch is an absolute hot mess, and they clearly don't care about their customers' time. I can't wait until my loan is paid off, so I don't have to come here anymore.

Kevin Pratt (Kevinmontanaa)1Great rates on any loans you get whether it be personal, vehicle, or home. With that being said, everything else is trash. Lose a card here it take 7-10 business days until you receive a new one versus major banks same day card replacements. Customer service is trash, they interrogate you like you some type of scammer when calling about your account. Unnecessary account fees charged to your account. For example, let’s you purchase things with $0 in your account but being the good branch member you are you check and notice the negative amount on your account so you get money from your main bank and race up to VACU as soon as they open to pay off the negative balance and get a receipt saying your account is in good standing. Get a email a week later saying they charged me some bs fee, but because I thought my account was in good standing from what the receipt told me and it’s been 5 days my account was in the negative they charge me another fee lol I’m paying them and I’m done with them. Also they don’t wave any fees

V. Lewis3A Bank Like Any Other I've had an account with VACU since 2000, even through moving overseas and then settling in another state, I maintained my account; not as a primary account, but just a very little something sitting away. Imagine my surprise when my mother went to the credit union today and was told that she couldn't withdraw money from HER account because MY account was in the negative. A teller explained to her that at some point 2 years ago, my account balance inexplicably went below $100, and because of this they began to withdraw $5.00 per month and now the account was negative $3.00. When she challenged this, she was told that it was in the account agreement (which I signed over 18 years ago). I never got a statement in the mail, nothing. To add insult to injury, they made her pay the negative before she could withdraw her own money! They did allow her to close my account, explaining that I could reopen it should I choose. Yeah, no thank you!

Ryan Bonds1I spent hours on the phone with customer service. They told me I had to go to a branch to fix the issue and they had left notes on my account so the teller would know what was going on. I get to the bank wait an hour finally am able to speak with someone and what do you know none of the notes are on my account and they want to know who I spoke to on the phone!?!? Really!? I have to do your job for you? Your computer system is so out of date you can't see the last person to access my account!?!? After another 2 hours at the bank I am sent home reassured they had fixed the problem. That was a lie again from another of their employees who need to be held accountable for this type of crap . So I'm back on the phone trying to get something done and the people on the phone ask me who I spoke to in the bank?!?! Really I have to interrogate your employees? So today I spoke to Mellissa in the contact center she was beyond rude and was completely useless at her job then I spoke to Gene the "resolution manager who works in the back of the office." She was no help at all and seemed to seriously lack management or resolution skills all together. So tomorrow I'm sure I will be back in the branch trying to fix this ongoing issue and will be damn sure to get everyone's name I talk to because they are not accountable for anything.

Melanie Dinsmore1We submitted a loan application on Monday. Here it is Wednesday and we still have no answer. We were told that they needed our social security cards because our social was not on our ID. No one's social is on there ID anymore!!! I have spent several hours on the phone with them trying to figure this all out and it hasn't got me anywhere. They also told me that our information did not match what our credit report that we put on the application, example our birth dates and address!! We have been at this address now for 2 years and we have never had this issue before so why now?!?! Needless to say we will not be using them to finance anything. There service was poor and not helpful at all. I do not recommend using VACU!!!! I have never had it take this long to get and answer regarding anything.

Ashleigh West14/14/16, its 3:34 & my mother & I just left this drive thru branch dealing with the worst 2 female customer service skills I've ever experienced. (I've work customer service for years including banks, so i know the difference between somebody having a bad day vs just being bad at their jobs) & let me tell you, these 2 were oblivious. We literally had FOUR cars pass us in the other lanes AFTER we sent off our 2 deposits, oh & guess what! We weren't even acknowledged with a how are you, one moment please, nothing. After 4 cars passed us by hearing no word, we pushed the call button making sure everything was okay. The first bigger sized women who answered said she was getting somebody else to take care of it, seeming like she had no time for us &just wanted to get us off the screen, not taking the time to listen to what we were saying. The one who was taking over was tall, skinny, black & wearing black & white, it looked like. She was horribly rude!!! After making us wait 10 min with no word because you obviously don't know how to do your job, she's trying to get us off the call by telling us she's working on it, but when we asked if she knew what was going on she responds "uhh uhhhh.??" Another part of her job is to fill the capsules with deposit slips for customers, guess shes slacking on that part too. Well because there were none in there (SHOCKER!) we just sent our 2 deposits & she's saying she needs to have us fill them out. We tell her the account numbers are in there with the deposits, but as we're trying to explain this, she's rudely interrupting & then not only sends the slips, but send our deposits back as well.. I hope VACU, you read your reviews because your rude associates like this woman at your Colonial Heights branch makes us wants to take all of our accounts out from you guys.. We ended up having to go inside to complain to a banker, but we were in a rush(which your drive thru teller made worse) so we don't know what came of it. I never thought a person could have such a horrible banking experience. Clean house VACU!
