Veterans United makes buying homes for active, reserves and retired vets so much easier. As a veteran myself in the Army this is the second time I have worked with Veterans United. They take up if not all majority of the work off your hands so you can accomplish other missions throughout your day. They are very helpful and insightful on all subject matter and quick to respond with any questions and concerns you may have. I highly recommend Veterans United for any service members in the armed forces serving our country. When you are done with your mission for the day you will always have a house to come home to.

Purchasing a home is not easy and carving out time to research and locate everything you need is a-lot of work. We are very fortunate to have found Veterans United and only wish we had found them sooner. As Veterans we are now home owners utilizing our VA Home Loans. The team was and provided most organized, professional and streamlined process. Thank you VU!

I had been working with Alex Tuttle for about two months on a mortgage. He was difficult to get a hold of at times, but never indicated there was a problem with the application or the amount I was borrowing. After a phone call in which Alex informed me he usually deals with much larger loans and suggested I take my business elsewhere, He withdrew my loan application and fraudulently claimed that it was by my request. Not only did I miss out on a low interest rate, the purchase contract I had with the seller expired and another buyer was able to purchase the property. Alex’s incompetence will cost me thousands of dollars in interest and a missed opportunity.

      Response from the owner

Hey Dean, Thank you for writing. I went digging for details surrounding your feedback right away. It looks like you received the Notice of Incompleteness as expected once your application hit 30 days without underwriting. At this time, your file is open pending the additional items needed to meet minimum VA underwriting guidelines. I understand. We ask for a lot of paperwork that at times seems tedious or redundant. The mortgage underwriting process can feel intrusive, but we want to reassure you that this in-depth analysis is a worthwhile step. The underwriting process serves to protect you the consumer. Our job is to ensure your loan is done the right way. I am sorry for the added stress, regardless. Your loan team and we are still here if you wish to pick things up on our end. Either way, we wish you the best along your homebuying journey. Sincerely, Kendra, Client Relations

Ordinary people can also take out loans at good interest rates comfortably. The service was conducted in two languages, and even those who couldn't speak English were able to get a loan comfortably.

I cannot say enough good things about Melody, her work ethic is bar none, regardless the time or day she will deliver. Being a real estate agent myself I see a lot of transactions and never have a I seen a loan officer as proficient and professional as Melody and she always keeps her clients best interest top of mind. Regardless to type of loan you are looking to utilize you will be working with and expert so if you are looking for a competent lender that can deliver look no further.

I was very dissatisfied with Veterans United as their crew processed my loan and on the day I was about to sign for my house on closing day they told me hey we totally overlooked your Paystub and said we can not close on closing day. The people I worked with were very unprofessional and we’re not understanding about any situation that I would talk to them about. I even added a cosigner and they still would not adhere to my to any of my concerns that I had. They literally told me hey we cannot do this loan for you and would not give me any answers.

      Response from the owner

Hi Kristopher, I am so sorry to hear this. We read and learn from every review we receive, so I want to thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. I looked through your case to get some more information, and it sounds like there were various factors at play in terms of the LES, some gaps in communication, and overall expectations. After review, our team found that your LES did not fit into our DTI guidelines. Since this loan was for an additional home, we had to take current living expenses into account, and the numbers did not meet our requirements. I am really sorry we didn't communicate this in a more timely manner. I did see that there was a change in phone number, resulting in a 2-week communication gap. According to your file, communication was reestablished quite close to the closing date, but we were not able to move forward with the loan based on the LES/DTI issue. Hence, the unfortunate timing. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We are available at [email protected] or 1-800-212-5200. We are in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. If contacted outside of business hours, we typically respond the next business day. Take care, Claire, Client Relations

Veterans United is awesome! They make the process of purchasing a home really smooth for us military personnel. I attended the seminar, which made me decided to work with them for my mortgage loan. I highly recommend the seminars, it is enlightening and refreshing for those who have little to no knowledge on the process of purchasing a home in Hawaii. Veterans United give weekly updates through out the entire loan process to keep you up to date on your loan status. The staff is friendly and is there to work with you. I will definitely recommend other military if purchasing on island not to overlook Veterans United.

I'm so grateful and appreciative that I had Tory Tuttle to assist in realizing my dream of relocating to Hawaii (from Southern California). Tory took care of the preliminary loan qualification process leading to the finalized loan, while I worked with my realtor, in search of our home on the Big Island. It took over a year of online planning and research. Now that we're a day away from getting our keys, Tory continues to be a great source of information and in providing answers to additional questions. I look forward to continued interaction with Tory and highly recommend her to anyone thinking about purchasing a home. She remains professional, friendly, very informative and always willing to assist...she answered my questions even after working hours. I value her presence in this process. Mahalo!!
