Our most recent loan,we worked with Nick Laws who is also incredible. He is as responsive and thoughtful as Heather and a tremendous addition to the team. Thank you for being amazing!

Callie Worstall1Financing our first house was great with Veterans United so we went with Heather again when we bought our second home.. huge mistake ! It was like we were non existent... never once even saw her in person and she didn’t show to the closing. We had questions and it was like pulling teeth getting answers. Both times the loans were transferred to another company almost immediately ... you are just a number to them.
Response from the ownerHi Callie, I am sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling like a number and not the valued person you are to VUHL, that would never be our intention nor expectation of any experience. I was able to locate your file and I believe that I have the most accurate one, it looks we were able to close on your new home in 2018. I contacted your loan team from that file and would like to discuss your experience further. I am able to see the email correspondence between yourself and your team and would like to know more about your concern with the feeling you stated. Your LO did state in an email on Aug 9. 2018 that she would be out of town for your closing and provided her contact and personal cell if you needed anything (this leads me to believe I do not have the most current file). I am truly also sorry to hear about your frustrations and understand your apprehension regarding the transfer of your loan. We do state the servicing of this loan is to be transferred on your initial LE (on page 3 of your LE) and that document is generally received at the very beginning of your loan process. Then it is stated on your Deed of Trust that was signed at closing and notified 15 days prior to the transfer via the Servicing Transfer Statement which is mailed out. We aren't set up to keep all loans for the long term, though we are working towards that goal, and in the meantime, we only work with servicers that we have a good working relationship with, which allows us to work together in case of any concerns regarding your loan. A loan servicing transfer in no way is a reflection on your loan or how much we value you as a customer of Veterans United Home Loans. We understand there can be questions surrounding a loan transfer to a new company, and we want to emphasize that Veterans United staff are still here to support you with assistance if needed. If you have any concerns, please let us know! Our customer service supervisors can answer questions and concerns regarding a loan servicing transfer at 1-800-212-5200 or [email protected]. -Claire S., Client Advocate

Eva Starnes5We had a great experience working with Veterans United. The two people who worked on our loan were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The home that we purchased was for sale by owner so there was extra work for for the loan officers. I would highly recommend Veterans United.

SHANDRA P5When I was educating myself about applying for a va home loan, there were plenty of nightmare scenarios. I really didn’t experience any of that going through Veterans United. The only hiccup was at the very beginning, I was first placed with another loan officer. I originally talked with that person but afterwards, for whatever reason, he would not return my calls to start the process of my preapproval. I requested someone else and I got referred to Jake Levy. I didn’t have any issues after that. Very smooth sailing for me. Thanks to loan officer Jake Levy, I successfully closed on my new home no problems. I even recommended a coworker to Jake for a refinance which closed. Additional kudos to Amanda Girard. Thanks.

Stacey Bohrer5Heather Damer is the best loan officer/human my husband and I have met. Heather and her team made the home buying process so easy for us. She returned calls immediately day or night, she is so kind, and compassionate. We had been working with heather for 3 or 4 months prior to moving here and when we finally got to meet her in person we were blown away. We recommend Heather and her team to family/friends basically anyone who will listen. Anyone who gets the opportunity to work with her should consider themselves blessed, she’s a straight shooter with only your best interest at hand. Heather will forever be in our hearts, we adore her.
Response from the ownerHi Stacey! We appreciate the kind words! It's great to hear that Heather and your loan team provided a great customer service experience. Thanks for your review, and congratulations on your new home! - Jennifer B., Customer Service Representative

John Jennett5Buying a home can be stressful. Veteran's United did everything in their power to make the process as stress free as possible. They are willing to help and provide options. For example I had a bit of a credit problem with the FICO score. Veteran's United pointed out the path that would fix my problem in the most efficient manner. Then it was up to me to carry out the plan. Without their help I would not be a homeowner today.

Arthur McClinton5Five Star Experience.. I'm a first time home owner and I must say my buying experience went rather smoothly. If it was a way to Clone Jake Levy *Loan Officer* then your company should get right on that, But in all seriousness, Y'all should make him a Training Director on how a Loan Officer should be and act with a potential client and client for that matter. He is VERY VERY knowledgeable in the home buying process and even has tips to actually save you $$$ in the long run. Thanks
