  While I feel for a previous reviewer, our family had a completely different experience with the Aiken branch, as well as Veterans Lending Group in its entirety! 110% would recommend these wonderful folks to any veteran out there. From the moment I first spoke with Kelli Jacobson over the phone, I felt we had found good people who understood our needs and that we were in good hands. And this proved to be absolutely true! Kelli was my rock from beginning to end. We were never left in the dark, and each email and phone call was answered promptly by Kelli and others. The guidance they provided throughout the process was never half-hearted and always thorough. I not only came out of the process with a home, I additionally gained an education. After our loan team had tirelessly worked on our first contract (that flopped because of seller issues), they busted their backsides with our second contract to get us into a home within an unheard of 21 day VA backed close, due to our very unique circumstances. I know this would have NOT been possible with any other team, nor lender. We chose the best and continue to appreciate their hard work every time we turn the key to our new house. If you want a smooth loan process and to be treated like a human, Veterans Lending Group should be top of your list. Oh, and a flat origination fee is a nice bonus!

  We had the great pleasure of working with Kelli Jacobson of the Veterans Lending Group in Aiken, South Carolina when selecting our mortgage lender. While planning our move from Ohio, we interviewed several prospective mortgage lenders for both conventional and VA loans. Kelli was heads above all others. She knew the product, demonstrated a natural and positive “can do” attitude, and continued to stay in contact with us throughout the stages of loan application and approval process. She was our “cheerleader”, boosting our spirits when our first two offers for houses didn’t get accepted by the sellers. She even helped us refine our strategy to win a successful bid. With a pre-accepted loan approval in hand, we moved from accepted offer to loan closing in less than 30 days. Closing was smooth and enjoyable. That’s testimony to Kelli’s diligence and attention to detail. We strongly recommend the Veterans Lending Group in general, and Kelli Jacobson and her team specifically, for any veteran looking to purchase a home. Choosing Kelli was one of our smartest decisions ever!

  I absolutely LOVED working with Kelli during the home buying process. She was so accommodating and answered all of our questions quickly and in a way that was easy to understand. If you have purchased many homes or are a first time home buyer that has lots of questions she will help you. There was not point where I ever felt confused and that is largely because of her. Not to mention she is such a sweet person and a pleasure to work with!

  I learned that VA loans can be difficult to use. This was my first time using one, but VA Lending Group -Aiken were phenomenal at getting my numbers to work so that we could get the house we wanted.

  This is a perfect lending group to work with. The process was very simple and no stress involved. They take care of everything for you and keep you informed every step of the way. I recommend using this team and give them 10/10. I highly recommend working with them.

  No one. And I mean no one, actually helps with va loans unless you have perfect history. Doesn’t matter if you pay your bills on time Doesn’t matter if your rent is never late or you have thousands in the bank. If unless you have NEVER made a mistake in the past the va won’t help you, it’s literally lies. This is why so many vets are homeless which is what my husband and I will be soon. And our decision for underwriting was in the hands of one guy who denied it without even wanting to talk to us. I don’t know why I was even contacted or why I wasted my time. We are devastated that we are loosing our roof. They don’t care at all no compassion at the Augusta/Aiken branch. Also Kelli needs to be schooled better in her job. She told me one thing, and the guy told my husband something else. Like always, nothing is consistent. ITS ALL LIES. The va IS A LIE. thank you for messing with peoples lives, hope you both sleep really good at night. And I wa asked to remove my review from Facebook. Very professional.
